[Helene Dakesh]

"I mean, they know who I'm married to and they still asked me, so...?" Ne shrugged. 

[Varric]

"That's fair," Varric agreed. "And it's no secret how often the two of us help each other out with work."

[Helene Dakesh]

"This is going to be a lot of work. But they had to have known I'd want you first and foremost, and I'm allowed to pick my own team. Actually. You are a good judge of people. Will you see if you can round up three to five dependable locals on the morrow to round out my team?"

[Varric]

"Hiring manager I can do," Varric promised. "What kind of skillsets or abilities do you want prioritized?"

[Helene Dakesh]

"I need someone who knows the area and Raplin really well, someone who is good with people, and someone who can solve problems really efficiently. I'm good at the latter but there's bound to be too much for one person. Extra credit if any of them are very familiar with the Daughters or are mystics."

[Varric]

"Any disqualifying traits? Aside from the normal ones."

[Helene Dakesh]

"Nobody you think might try some power play against me because I look small."

[Varric]

"That is a normal one," Varric replied with a somewhat puzzled look. "Anything Conclave related?"

[Helene Dakesh]

"Oh. Um. Well obviously nothing that would piss off Alydra, and don't pick someone who is outcast here for some reason or doesn't fit in, just in case they did something horrible and are lying about it."

[Varric]

"This is more Dream focused than Intellect, right? So find dreamers and creative thinkers if possible," he mused, mostly to himself. "Alright. So we need a local guide, someone linked into as many social networks as possible and someone with a good head on their shoulders who won't shy away from fixing things even if they have to be firm with people."

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene smiled. "You know me so well," ne mused at the last bit. 

[Varric]

"You're my favorite subject to learn about," Varric replied from the heart.

Helene blushes, looking like ne's about to say something... then doesn't, bobbing ner head and blushing deeper, grinning. A swallow. A broader grin. "That's...." 

[Bethany]

At the doorway, Beth pivots on her heel and goes for a nice evening stroll.

[Varric]

"That's..." Varric prompted ne, his focus on Helene to the extent that his subconscious filtering of 'safe people' stopped him from noticing anything.
