Charon rubs his left ear where the notch has been healed. "Sometimes things that are healed are never quite right afterward. My hands are very sensitive."

Tomas redirected his full attention at this point. "Andreas, do you not want to play? Pops would understand, you know that."

[Charon Tethras]

"No, no, it's.... it's fine." He looked so happy when I agreed...

[Tethras Clan]

"Fine meaning I have doubts and nerves but I'm willing or fine as in I don't want to fight about it or disappoint someone?"

[Charon Tethras]

"Those are basically the same though?"

[NPCs]

Tomas narrowed his eyes, giving Charon a look that's far more inspective than the fraud would prefer aimed his way. "You should know better than that, 'dreas. 'Big family, big expectations' and all that."

[Charon Tethras]

What? "Sorry," he said, ducking his head. "I've got a lot on my mind recently."

[Tethras Clan]

"Right... Anyway, are you just nervous about this? Or do you really not want to do it?"

[Charon Tethras]

"Nervous," he admitted. 

[Tethras Clan]

"What would help you be less nervous?" Tomas asked with brisk gentleness. 

[Charon Tethras]

Being my actual self. How the hell would Andreas handle that? Maybe too much family can be a bad thing... "Knowing what I'm getting into? I never paid much attention to the rules."

[NPCs]

"Sami, you've played before, right? Think you could run over the rules, maybe do some drills or some such?"

[GamesMaster]

Sami rolls his eyes as he pulls back from Adelaide. "I mean, I guess, but it's all just kid stuff, I'm sure nobody's any good on the team."

[Tethras Clan]

"Maybe not, but you do realize that if you don't, Gilly will." Tomas gave Sami a dead-eyed stare. "For all of us. You do remember the last time she decided we needed to learn a sport, right?"

[GamesMaster]

Sami shuddered. "Alright, alright. Come on, kid, there's a hoop a block down at the little park."
