Stone's Throw

[Charon Tethras]

"You arrange one. I'll go get Dreas to tell me where he keeps his money, then I can pay you back for the room. And uh. figure out how to hire a hooker maybe?"

[Diligence]

"Oh I can do that," Dil offered easily.

[Charon Tethras]

"You mean, you're willing to... help out? Or, no, sorry, you probably mean you know where to hire a hooker."

[Diligence]

Dil blinked thrice, then nodded. "Yeah, the second one. Uh. Sorry. I know some hookers, yeah. They're nice."

[Charon Tethras]

"Okay. Cool. You talk to them and I'll get Dreas." Charon turns to go, antsy and restless and horny all at once. 

[Diligence]

"I though we didn't know where he was?"

[Charon Tethras]

Charon winces. "He was... going to... some artist group, right? Maybe if I ask at the Astean temple they'll know who?"

[Diligence]

"I mean maybe..." Dil said with zero belief it would work out. "Wait, why do we need him again?"

[Charon Tethras]

"Money. He's bound to have money in his room somewhere and I-- I guess I could ransack the place?"

[Diligence]

"Heats don't last that long, right?" Dil rubbed the ridge over his left eye, thinking out loud. "If it's only for a day or two, you could just use this room. And I can get a hooker for that long. What else do you need?"

[Charon Tethras]

"It could be a week, and I don't..." He glances away, unsure how to say 'I don't want you to see me like that'. 

[Diligence]

"Ah, yeah, that's a good point. I can make due with like a barrel or something really, but Joy deserves to have a roof and bed," Dil agreed with a nod. "Hmm. Well... maybe Teka or Roallantha will be okay with using their work room?"

[Charon Tethras]

Charon nods. "Best to ask."

And so they head out, making their way towards the area of Coalside full of the most brothels, licensed brothels anyway. As they pass a theater, however, Charon is stopped by a gorgeous peacock of a woman, wearing shimmering green iridescent feathers as a gown and peacock feathers sticking out of her hair which is pulled into a bun to provide a secure anchor. She stands out, in this area full of drab, ordinary people, and she fixes her gaze on Charon with surprise. 

"Andreas?! You poor kitten, did you come all the way downtown to find me? Let's get you home, chop chop."

[Diligence]

Dil peered up at the woman with wide blinking eyes behind the strip of worn cotton over his eyes. "Uh what? Who're you?"

[GamesMaster]

The woman bats her eyes at Dil. "I'm Heidi Salami, a performer and more woman than you can handle, kiddo. Now let's get Andreas somewhere safe. He'll look you up in a few days when he's not so... ill."
