"I understand...." I say gently before standing and offering my arm "shall we?"

The day is starting to wind down when we come across a merchant selling fine jewelry we stop to look and I find a brioche for Addina and a pendant for Kiarie, the I turn to carve, "pick anything you want my love, I've noticed your pricing perhaps an earring? One of fine gold, or one with amber to match your eyes?"

He looks a little subdued. "My ears aren't pierced."

We provide that survice here my lord." The eligant shop owner says "please select any you like. I recommend this braided gold hoop with emerald and sapphire beads, they would look ever so pretty next to his face offsetting his eyes...." He says holding them up for them to inspect

Carver blinks. "Only one ear," he insists. "The right ear. The left one is gay."

"Not really...it is associated with piracy though so the left is best."
