The Black Dirge [Sci-fi]

"Yeah, we brought it, chill." The teleporter gives a little wave to Kenji; this one he'd personally been there for recruiting.

Siegfried scowls. If he hadn't been ordered to stay put he'd be gone by now.

Shinigami sighs. "Fine. We'll figure something out. This way." She leads the way back into the hallway, continuing on toward the end of the hall -- which isn't far. At the end is a large door with a sign that reads "bathrooms". "Showers are in there." says Shinigami, sounding bored.

"Then why didn't you start with that?" Morden took a moment to breath. "Anyway, that's great. I can get that installed and...wait, who was talking to Shinigami?" They were sure that Shinigami didn't talk to...well most of anyone when there wasn't work involved.

Kimiko nods, a question forming in the back of her mind which she doesn't notice herself quietly responding "if those are the showers then where is the bathroom...?" She keeps a blank face the whole time. Oh jeeze, that was a serious question and she didn't even realize she said it. Also, if it says bathrooms and the showers are in their, she wonders to herself, not speaking allowed this time, then why doesn't it say showers? She then looks puzzled, scratching her head.

Zee looks up as Kenji enters the common area, closing her book with a soft thump.

"So.... new kid's here then?"

"Also in there. And one back the way we came." Shinigami doubles back the way they came, leading her back down the hall.

Keith shrugs. "New kid. Just picked her up. She kept to herself mostly on the way over."

Siegfried doesn't even look up from his datapad. "Yeah, Zee. It's trending on Twitter already, how late are you?"

She looks a bit spooked when Shi-chan responds, an expression like 'did she just read my mind' but she says nothing and just follows her. This place was kinda cold and didn't feel all that welcoming, but for the time being this was her home. Eventually she would have to get used to it.

"...right. That's why we were getting anything today." Morden tended not to pay the most attention to things that weren't orders, espeically if they had a project in the works. "Right, so any idea what she does?"

Kenji glances between Zee and Siegfried, and then Morden before idly commenting with a little laugh, "Probably something pretty neat. Gotta be more interesting than Shinigami's"

"She's a support-type. I gather you needed more of those?" Keith jokes, and Siegfried scowls, tapping away on his datapad.

It's just Kenji's luck -- that's about when Shinigami and the new kid re-enter the common room, heading across to the hallway on the other side.

Zee shrugs at Siegfried's admonition. "I was here when you walked her through last time. Not my fault if you didn't notice."

Zee turns to the new kid and bows somberly. "Welcome, I look forward to working with you."

Kimiko looks a bit troubled, because Shinigami is leading her around and seems to be in a hurry, and then this person is greeting her, so she speaks up, "Uhhh... is it okay if I greet her..." she pauses, then pulls up her shirt sleeve and looks at Shinigami, "...Shi-chan?"

"Yeah sure. That's Zee." Shinigami shrugs. "And that's Marbles," she adds, gesturing to Kenji. "That's pretty much everyone."

Kenji gives a casual wave to the newcomer as he's introduced, doing their best to give a friendly smile in spite of their... state of bedhead and whatnot.

Zee chuckles softly at the question. "I'm not going to bite you. Not unless.... well no, I don't know you that well and anyway we'd better keep things professional."

[Hitoshirenu Shourai]

Kimiko does a half nod/bow to Zee, "Hi..." then turns to Kenji (marbles?) and stares at him for a few moments before giving a nod/bow, continuing to stare, ".......Hi." She then sorta turns to the room, folding her hands in her lap, "I'm Sakuboshi Kimiko. I look forward to working with you." She doesn't actually look forward to it, she's just being polite. She gives a full bow to them all, then stands back up straight and turns to Shinigami, glancing at Kenji's head again before focusing on Shi-chan. "...Ah!" She goes for her pockets but can't find a pen, frowns, and asks in general, "D-Does anyone have a pen...?" She knows she'll forget their names soon if she doesn't write them down!
