The Black Dirge [Sci-fi]

Shinigami is just returning to the common room, a box in her arms; Keith and a couple other crew members from the ship follow, carrying supplies to their stockroom. "Oi, Cordy, front and center," she barks.

Kimiko is extremely light and easy to carry. Zee would estimate the girl to be around sixty-five, seventy pounds. When Zee is changing her out of the jumpsuit, she notices many scars on her body of many shapes and sizes, all old except for a new, red scar around her belly. How in the world did all of that happen...?

Morden, having moved to the couch, got up and headed for Shinigami. "Present and accounted for. What sort of non-physically activity am I to be asked to do?" Which was mostly their way of saying 'What do you need" with his own brand of statements.

Shinigami hands him the box. "Your crap's in here. You're welcome."

Zee sighs, just like them....

"Hey, 'Gami. You [bleep]ing knew what you were handing me in the gym, didn't you? I may have bragged a bit before about my skills, but didja have to give me that much of a challenge?"

Zee actually makes the radio censoring beep sound, censoring her own words in a very mechanical manner.

Kenji glances up and watches Zee with a look of amusement. Life's always fun when Zee gets wound up like this, just so long as one is not the one getting them like this anyway...

Morden gives a bit of an 'OOF' as they tried to keep the box level. "Right...thanks." Shinigami still made Morden a little nervous, despite the slight sarcastic tone. "I'll get this stuff installed and I should be good to go."

Shinigami keeps her reply to a thin, tight smile. "Useless, huh?"

She was going to have to have words with Big Boss later. He never agreed to meet in person; he would only speak via secure Satellite uplink, even when he was in the neighborhood.

Zee shrugs

"Today, yeah. A real bundle of nerves. Actually forgot to breathe and passed out. Still, I've seen worse. I can make something of her, but it's going to take time, and med supplies. something did her over fierce recently."

Kenji shrugs, chuckling a little to comment "Maybe ol' Cordy can rig up an exoskeleton for them?"

Kenji was mostly joking about the exoskeleton bit of course, but... well such things were not unheard of for people these days. Generally affluent people with disabilities... but yeah.

"That's not even close to what I do."  Morden gave something of a sigh. "If you want me to cause a massive manufacturer of exo-suits to suddenly critically fail and suddenly have one of their shipments lost so we can TAKE an exo-suit, then I can do that." He starts moving for the hallway with the personnel quarters.

Shinigami nods. "I'll put in the resupply order. You got a specific list?"

Zee thinks for a bit, considering exactly what she needs.

"Well, a full medical supply ship with integrated operating thetre specializing in mezzode repair would be damned handy. Failing that some combat medkits will go a long way to covering the gap in supplies we have. And we need a proper medic, I'm good enough at triaging and doing field patches, but i'm rubbish at anything permanent."

A pause then she continues

"oh, and i need about a dozen type seventeen bio cells for mezzodes, new prefereed of course but used will do if they are in good nick"

Shinigami gives Zee a flat look. "I'm your CO, not Jesus."

With that, Kenji bursts out laughing. No, no comment, just laughing. The image of Shinigami as a religious figure... it's too much.
