"F-Four here! Umm... I can't see a thing... I don't know how helpful I'll be, but I'll do my best! O-Over!" Kimiko had little idea as to what she was doing, but she figured she'd be told what to do soon. Maybe. Hopefully.

"And Omega is here as well. That's the ground team accounted for. Do we have our eyes in the sky?" Zee queries, asking if Sigma is on the line. She's looking around carefully to see what sort of terrain there is between them and the target.

yamikuronue

"Zero here, ready and waiting. You've got most of the building collapsed, I've got a satellite image here, but it might be out of date and it's incomplete. Over."

accalia

Zee nods. "good. the team's all here. Let's get to it. Zero, coordinate with Four to keep us as up to date as possible. Three, cover my six and follow me as we advance. Three, follow a bit behind. Let's keep you out of any fighting that might pop up, but not so far back you can't help if something comes up. Got it? good. Move out."

Zee seems to have a distaste for the old style of radio contact, she seems to be purposefully omitting the traditional 'Over.' at the end of her broadcasts. Regardless, she starts moving, slowly and with purpose, making sure she keeps a good eye out for traps, and that she doesn't trip over something. She hates shifting her vision to ultra or infra, she loses all parallax binocular cues when she does, which makes it hard to be exact where she's walking.

Marbles, who has kept silent during the training mission prep decided to finally speak up, "Sure is dark..." Kenji often liked being quiet. Attracting too much attention caused trouble. Of course, with teammates he probably shouldn't be quite so quiet, but he'd just gotten so used to it in prior life.

As he spoke up, Kenji was standing right behind Zee. He then adds quietly, "Five reporting. Any risk of plasma turrets? Laser tripwires? Just need a runner?"

Sometimes he liked to use Pi as a callsign, to be silly, but nah... time to just go with sequence from the last callsign used today. Why not...

Zee stumbles over her own feet, her mouth opening to shout at whomever had broadcast in the open on their tam comm line, before snapping shut again, remembering the fourth ground team member.... how the in the seventeen bloody hells had she forgotten about him?

"Five, stick close to Four. Keep your eyes and ears open, be ready for traps, and be ready to run if needed." and for goodness sake speak up earlier next time, Zee thinks that last part, restraining herself from transmitting it.

Rednaxela

Marbles nods and responds over comms "Understood, big-O." before moving into position to be near Kimiko, and also get a view up ahead.

As they approach, they have some options. There's what seems to be the easy way: a narrow path between two obstacles, leading into the mess a short way before turning and going out of sight. To the left of that path, there's a number of obstacles stacked that they could try to climb up; to the right, there's a series of blocks under a slanting sheet of metal that they might be able to crawl around on their bellies. All in the dark.

accalia

Zee describes the options to the party as best she can in short sharp sentances before offering "I'm thinking the up and over route. Any objections or counterpoints?"

Clearly Zee doesn't operate on the "I give the orders, you obey them" mode all the time. That's good, people who operate in order mode the whole time tend to get accidentally shot by their own side in firefights.

Hitoshirenu Shourai

"Uuu... this is four... um... if we do that, I'll need help to clear it... over..." Kimiko frowns, which isn't really visible because of darkness. It isn't just the darkness she'll have trouble with. She's still quite weak, so climbing over stuff herself would be way too hard. Two days isn't nearly enough time to 'fix' her.

CalamityJade

"Three here. Do we know there's not someone out there ready to peg us in the head for poking up over all this junk?" Morden might not be a fan of field work. They were much more comfortable behind a screen where there was a much higher degree of control and separation from danger, but that didn't mean they'd paid less attention to the lessons about it. Morden just looked overall unhappy with being there.

yamikuronue

"I have no intel on any hostiles, over." says Sigma. No intel doesn't mean no hostiles, but he's got limited insight into the map as a whole.

Rednaxela

"Five here, up and over is good here if we want to. I can help Four if needed." says Kenji. He felt... worried. He didn't think any of the other ways were better than up and over really, but he had this feeling. The feeling he gets when there are snipers with plasma rifles in the distance. Better not be damnit.

accalia

Zee thinks about for a moment then snaps a question. "Zero, do we have any eyes on the far side of this?" she wants to know if there's any live intel on the situation or if Shin's making them go in without overwatch.

yamikuronue

"I have a sat in position with a telephoto lens," he says, meaning that he's got access to a camera on the ceiling. "I can't see the target, there's too much cover. Over."
