New Avalon

~Crys, status report.~ She was still feeling a bit awkward after her earlier breakdown, and so her message to her companion was a bit brusquer than usual, but perhaps he'll forgive her that. She also jumps to her feet, digging out her pocket knife just in case.

I...something was there. One of the things from before. But it was...only there for a second. It...I have a bad feeling about it.~ She would see something of a blue dot that moved towards the east. ~That way~ It was towards what T would remember that's in the direction of a lot of industrial and service stuff...including the hospital.

T hits the ground running, head down like she stole something. What had happened? Was it another attack? Was everyone alright?

She got about halfway to the hospital before she saw a fairly big croud gathered around an accident that had apparently haulted traffic in the airea. As she got closer, she could hear some of the muttering. "A shame." "I thought those things were supposed to be safe." "I heard that sometimes they can blow like that." "Well, what are those Power Men supposed to be doing?! That could have killed someone!" "It did. A couple people were walking across the street." "A shame, too." Further up, there were cops trying to keep the scene clear while a truck from the New Avalon Power Company pulled up from the oppose side of the blockage, right next to an ambulance.

~It was here...I can still feel it.~ Crys had been silent for most of the run until T made it to the crowd. ~It's the same feeling as before. I think it's gone, tho.~

~...it blew up a goddamn power station?!~ she asks Crys as she comes to a halt, her mental voice shaky. ~People died!~

~I...not many. Few...so I don't think it looks like what you're thinking. That would have been bigger.~ An image of a circle reaching to the opposite side of the intersection from where she was standing came into her mind. ~At least if it's as big as you're thinking it is.~

~They come smaller?~ Okay, T, keep it together. If there's a variety of sizes, that makes sense, maybe she can fight some of them.

~Um...Kinda, but that's usually a bad sign. That'd probably be like a Foreman.~

~Like a what? Isn't that a dude who runs a factory?~

[CalamityJade]

~Um...yeah, basically he'd be the one that directs the bigger ones. I get the feeling that's REALLY bad.~

T starts pulling back, away from the scene. There's nothing to do here, really; it looks like the first responders have arrived, and have the situation in hand. Time for her to do what she does best: disappear.

~Wait!~ Crys actually seemed to...warm in his hiding place. ~Something here is familiar. Can you try to get closer?~

~...Familiar like how?~ she snapped. Dammit... she did not want to get closer. But she did begin to creep closer, nervously.

~Like something here was something I've seen~ As she got closer, there was more muttering, but from the cops. "Wasn't that the guy workin on something for the chief?" "Well, he ain't workin on it now." "Still...did ya tell him." "You see me on some golden path? Some of us gotta work ta keep these jobs, ya know?"

The sight looked a mess. Along with scorch marks around the sudden hole in the ground, there was also some blood on the nearby...well, lots of things. Cops were cleaning and looking for any sort of cause to it while the guys from the power company were in the hole trying to salvage whatever they could.

Some guy? Some guy like some dead guy? Jesus, if this thing killed a cop there was likely to be a crackdown. T knows she's not being rational. What would they crack down against? But dead cops means angry cops means less safe places to bed down or get food, so she can't help but creep closer, evesdropping.
