~I...~ There's a pause. ~Damn, I don't know...It's....~ There was an annoyed sound. ~Does it matter?~

"Yes." she snaps, taking a deep breath. "Can you see out of that thing?"

~Well...yeah, but it's shapes with lights in it...why?~

[yamikuronue]

"Good to know." T makes a mental note to shove the thing into her bear when she's changing clothes or peeing or anything like that.

~Speaking of lights...why the hell are there so many around here? I thought you were trying to go someplace without a bunch of people in it?~ Which was...odd, considering that the place was abandoned and there weren't a lot of people outside either.

T frowns. "Are you seeing people?" she asks, slowly.

[CalamityJade]

~Are you not? I told you all I 'see' are weird shapes and lights that I'm pretty sure are people...hold on.~ The light from the crystal starts to glow brighter as T gets a rather odd mental image. it's a vaguely humanoid shape with a bright light in the center of the chest area that seems to radiate out towards the extremities in crisp lines. There were points that lit up and the lines branched out, kind of like nodes on a map. ~Did you see that?~

"Because we're alone in here," she says, very quietly, drawing her knife.

~...there's about three other people...at least from what I can see.~ Another image, though the light is much dimmer and doesn't branch almost at all. ~They're just kinda...mulling around tho. Are you sure you can't see them?~

"Guide me." She stands, knees bent and loose, knife out, eyes scanning for hiding places.

~Um...okay...shit...okay, try turning around and moving that way around five steps.~ Well, there IS a place that you could hide. Some scaffolding from the roof was laying on the ground in a somewhat twisted heap.

T turns 180 degrees and takes a step. "That's one step. Four more?" she says, keeping her voice low.

~Um...crap, five more. Still trying to get used to all this~ That would take her just past the broken scaffolding.

T creeps forward, on her toes, knife held tightly. When she reaches the scaffolding, she lunges forward, knife-point first.

The knife flies through the air and hits...the scaffolding. Granted that wasn't the most surprising thing. No, the REAL supprise was that her hand was about halfway inside of what was actually standing there. The shocked face of a boy, who couldn't be more than eight, stared at T with tears in his eyes...well eye. One of them was a ragged looking hole. His clothes were in tatters, but they looked to be overalls and a shirt that both seemed saturated with blood on one side. He spoke with the barest whisper. "C-..can you see me, mum?"
