~Well try harder!~ Fury sweeps through her body; her hands ball into fists, her knuckles turning white, her nails digging into her palms. Her muscles quiver with the suppressed need to punch something, to keep hitting it until she can't feel her hands or it's a bloody pulp. This can't be happening. This can't... this can't be real! He can't be gone. What could possibly take out her father, the indomitable, the unflappable, the invincible?

~I...I'll try.~ There's a low hum in the back of her head. There's a muffled sound as the crystal tried to...think? ~He....was mentioned by some people around me...before I woke up with you.....Something about him...something about the city and him...~ There was a pause. ~Who is he?~

~Just... nevermind, okay? Nobody.~

~...but he's....he seems important...and if he was making you that angry, he should be watched out for, yeah? We're still kinda in this together, yeah?~ There was a slight feeling of concern...so something about this seems to make whatever it was worried.

Rob notices the kid stop suddenly, her attention drawn by one of the handful of 'missing persons' posters; it's clear she's in some distress at seeing who the poster is of.

"Someone you know?" he asks, keeping his voice soft and mellow.

"...no. I mean. Yes. Fuck. Do you know anything about this?" T's voice is sharp, but her scowl has been replaced by a somewhat haunted look.

~Just, shut up, you don't understand anything! He's my... he's family.~

That particular poster is a couple months old. Rob does remember when there was a big to-do about one of the Welcomed going missing. Guy ran a security firm for his brother, another up and coming Welcomed in the city. And from what everyone said about him, a pretty nice guy. The case was still ongoing, as the police couldn't just admit that the Welcomed could get kidnapped like normal Waiting folk, but there hadn't been much headway...interesting that. Concidering that most would assume that Mordriana was also Welcomed, but was always enigmatic with her answers. She was successful, so how could she be anything less.

~I...alright...but that makes him important to you...I'll keep trying to remember anything about him, alright?~

"I remember a couple of months back there was news about a kidnapping going round; the victim ran a security firm if I recall correctly. Last I heard, the case was still open..." And the victim was one of the Welcomed... like Mordriana...

"Right. Months?!" she suddenly snaps, as that sinks in. Immediately, she closes her eyes, shaking her head."No, okay. Right. Sure. Thanks."

[Hammer Sister]

"How did you know him?"

[yamikuronue]

She glances away. "That's not important."

[Hammer Sister]

"Doesn't seem like it's not important..."

[yamikuronue]

She levels a glare back at him. "How could it possibly matter?"

[Hammer Sister]

"There's a possibility the kidnapping of..." Rob leans in to read the name "...Obsidian Roidmet and the attempt on Mordriana are connected. At least, it can't be ruled out."

"Well I didn't do either."
