She tenses. None of your business, she retorts mentally, trying to calm her racing heartbeat. The idea that someone could have figured out who she was, could drag her back to her father's home... it still frightens her more than she'd admit.

There was a pause. ~Sorry...I'm just...trying to sort my own memories, I guess. Figured it was better than doing nothing~ There was a somewhat light feeling of...comfort? No...something else. ~Right, so a separate question. You know what a deep sea flat-bread is?" She did, in fact. It was a flatbread with muscles, scallops and oysters. There was a guy that had a mobile stand 'Fresh-baked Surf' that a lot of people liked. He was sometimes willing to part with any flat-bread at the end of the day, if you were around him when he finished up.

T's stomach growls -- that last sticky bun was hours ago. Yes, she retorts, curtly.

Despite herself, a memory floats to mind: her father had taken her to get a flatbread when he took her to the zoo, which she had secretly kind of liked. Animals were cool. They smelled bad, but that wasn't their fault, really. The flatbread had been warm and fresh and fluffy, and while she'd never had seafood much before she got here, it wasn't that bad, really.

There was another slight pause. ~I think I remember hearing someone mention those before. I was...inside some kinda box, I think...oh! Shit, right. You're hungry...hey can you let me out for a second. I think I have an idea~

T blinks. How was a crystal going to solve her being hungry? I'm always hungry, don't worry about it, she mutters mentally, glancing away. Not that she wanted to talk about being hungry. Or poor. Or homeless. At least she'd gotten a shower this week. Wait, what were they talking about?

She slips the crystal out of her pocket, hoping that'll keep him happy anyway.

The crystal hovers in the air a little. ~Well, that doesn't mean nothing can be done about it.~

Soft, blue light starts to glow from the crystal, bright enough for a second that the crystal was hard to see before it...landed. The form was familiar, despite being only several inches tall. It looked like her...well pictures of her when she was smaller. Nice clothes, hair done in a lot ponytail. The fact that it was all made of dim-blue light and she could vaguely make out the crystal underneath it was probably a little creepy.

~Hey! It worked! II was pretty sure it was gonna make me look like that gearhead ghost, but I'm glad it didn't.~

T stares at the crystal, then waves her hands, trying to disperse the image. "H-hey! Stop that!" Oh, right, silent communication. Stop that! You don't want to look like me, you stupid thing!

~Well, I can't just...make a form I don't think. It seemed to naturally come out like this...though this doesn't seem bad.~ The construct moves around a little. ~Seems mobile enough, and I'll just be gone for a minute.~ With that, it turns and seems to move along the path of the sidewalk, but still in the bushes.

You stupid-- I'm a wanted person, dammit! Ugh, great. If any of her father's former acquaintances recognised "her"... I can't have my image floating around in front of people!

~Then I can avoid being seen, it is simply easier to do this with a form with hands...I think.~

~Get food.~ the construct pointed off in one direction where there was a stand selling pork links in buns. In fact, there were a couple on the stand already cooked and ready to eat. ~You were hungry, and I can't carry anything without hands.~

So what, you're going to become a theif now?

~...well, I can't eat, but you need to..and I don't know what the guy you're looking for looks like. I hate the idea that I'm not doing anything when I can.~

There was a slight pause before it continued. ~But you don't take food, even if you would starve otherwise?~
