The harness hits the ground near the forms and seems to pause for a moment. The injured assailant, the one that had been shot in the leg, tries to raise his gun at Rob. "Don't you fuckin dare! No way we're just...lettin her go." This was...pretty determined all said and done. Not to mention the loud as hell thing  hanging above the city that they were apparently waiting for.

It's about now that the police are actually pulling up. Several yellow and blue lights flash as several police cruisers pull up on both sides of the bazzar. Almost simultaniously, they swarm from the cars and towards the stage, orders being barked to the crowd as they make their way.

Fuck, the fuzz

The youth hesitates, glancing up at the gunman and Mordriana. Fuck it. She can take it from here, I did my part. With that, she lets go of the person she was stabbing and bolts for the shadows.

Rob ignores the wounded assailant; making sure he's protecting Mordriana, he pulls her off-stage, out of view of the assailants, and frees her from her bonds.

"Ma'am?" he asks, attempting to wake her up.

Well, she seemed completely out for now, and concidering she was bleeding from a busted lip and there was a rapidly-forming bruise on her head there was plenty to assume she might not wake up for a bit. The plus side was that whoever was trying to grab her hadn't succeeded.

The two injured assailants were scrambling for the harness before it was quickly pulled upwards out of their reach. There was also a bright flash from above before both men screamed out in pain and both fell over onto the stage. From the range that Rob was at, there was a slight tingly feeling just before the fell over, which was rather strange.

By now the police had completely surrounded the stage with a couple heading towards Rob and the unconscious Mordriana. Thankfully for the youth, they seemed to be much more interested in what had happened than in one shadowy person trying to get out of the area.

Rob notices the approaching officers; he steps back from Mordriana, placing his hands up open at shoulder-height.

"About time you showed up. I suggest you call a medic; she's been hit pretty hard."

Erika hangs around the edge of the square, watching the police work but staying well out of their way. She's torn -- she really shouldn't feel obligated to Rob, since she just met him, but she does't feel right abandoning him after he protected her...

The police give him a side eye, but seeing how he was cooperating, a few quick comments go out about getting an ambulance out here. They seem mostly concerned about the crowd and...actually the wind seems to have died down...and that thing is GONE?! Well, someone either moved fast or that's one hell of a parlor trick.

Leaving the police to attend to Mordriana, Rob leaves the stage area, returning to Erika; he notes the... whatever it was... has gone.

"It took long enough, but the police are here now; they can handle things from here." Taking the sketch out of his pocket, he shows it to Erika. "Out of interest, have you ever seen this patch design before?"

Erika peers at it, then shakes her head. "No, never."

[Hammer Sister]

With a small shrug, Rob repockets the note.

"Well, looks like the show's off; doesn't make sense to hang around any longer..."

She nods. "Could you...."

Then hesitates. No, if he walks her home, he'll see where she lives.

"Nevermind," she says, her voice dropping.

Soon, an ambulance arrives on scene and starts checking for any injured, as well as getting Mordriana onto a stretcher. She seems to still be out, so they police start questioning the people. Asking what they saw, if they recognized anyone that attacked. Did anyone see what it was in the sky? Thankfully, they didn't seem too pushy about it, assuring everyone that the matter would be handled and that they were completely safe now.

"If you want me to walk you home or something, I'm happy to- hold on, one of the officers is coming over."

"No, it's fine," Erika says quickly. "I'll be fine. Hello, officer."

"Good evening...now I won't hold up too much of either of your time, so if I could get a quick statement on what happened, that'd make it easier for you two to get along home." The officer was pretty green-looking. You could tell since he seemed really attentive and wanted to seem approachable other than the other cops that seemed to be trying to strike up small conversations to do the same thing. Very 'by the book' as it were.
