"And I'm not gonna tell him yer dead! Man's been trying to find you since you disappeared and if I DO see him, I'm not going to crush him like that." Garric shook his head. "I can tell him I haven't seen you, but that's the limit. Obviously ya got something going on between the two of ya."

T rolls her eyes. "It's not like I matter. I'm just the bastard brat he couldn't get rid of."

"If you didn't matter, then why was it the time he disappeared and people came looking for him was while he was lookin for you?"

T grows quiet, mulling this over. Could this have something to do with me? Nobody's ever given a shit about me before, but... maybe some enemy of Mother's?

~We should try and find someone that knows what's actually going on. I may not remember much, but this is definitely pissing me off.~

~What do you mean, why? Because he doesn't know what those men were about. Your father might be tied to that woman and...just this not knowing! If there was nothing to know it wouldn't bother me but just....~ The ir was an aggrivated sigh. ~Sorry. You're dealing with all this shit, too.~

I never know what's going on. Welcomed, the rich, they're always doing things that seem inscrutable. Best thing to survive has always been to keep my head down and focus on what affects me. Still, though, she's troubled. Whatever's going on with her dad just isn't... right. Whatever's going on with Mordriana, whatever's going on with those ghosts...

And if it's all the same something, it's something so big, it can't help but affect her anyway. So she ought to solve it, if only so she can protect herself. Right?

Garric gave her an odd look. "You alright, girl?"

T blinks a few times, paying attention. "Sorry. I... I guess I need to find this Mordriana person."

The man sighs. "I won't try to stop ya. The both of ya'll are crazy, but I no better than to try and hold you here." Garrik gives a sigh before standing. "Gonna guess you won't take anything given for some fool reason, right?"

T hesitates. "depends on what it is and why," she settles on, finally.

Garric moved into the kitchen before coming back out with a wallet. "Last bet I made with your father. Figure that wherever he is, you'll need the money more than him." He holds the envelope out to T.

T smiles, faintly. "...okay. That I can take." She reaches for the envelope. "What did you bet?"
