[Hammer Sister]

Rob takes his time replying; he's learned a lot today, and it's directly challenging many beliefs he's held all his life. Eventually though, he makes his decision.

"The reason I wanted you to look at that engine was to find out if you could see the same thing wrong with it that a friend of mine could, but neither I nor an expert could not. You didn't see it, but, by manipulating Pulse, you proved she was correct anyway... and this may sound crazy, but I think you might be able to help me help her with something."

[yamikuronue]

T frowns. "Only if she and you can help me in return. I have to find the man I'm looking for, and soon."

[Hammer Sister]

"Who are you looking for?"

[yamikuronue]

"You guessed it before. Obsidian Roidmet."

[Hammer Sister]

Always there's a Roidmet involved...

"Ah yes, I remember now," Rob replies, remembering the conversation in the bar. "Then that means we're looking for the same person. I can't guarantee my friend will help you, but I certainly will."

[yamikuronue]

She shrugs a shoulder. "Fine. Let's just get going then."

Late in the previous day, Erika had gone back home in the hopes of no longer getting involved in Rob's Investigation. She didn't want to spy on him and she was sure that it would only cause problems for all involved. OF course, the phone call she was getting right now was probably going to say something different.

Erika jumps when the phone rings; she's still not used to having her own telephone again, as that was one of the first things she cancelled when she ran low on funds. She'd bought a nice, sleek black phone with her latest windfall, but the noise of it ringing startled her already frayed nerves.

Should I answer it?

She takes a deep breath, steels herself, and picks up the phone. "Erika Stark," she says, in her practiced receptionist voice.

[CalamityJade]

"Miss Stark. Mr. Harrox would like to speak to you. Please hold"

Oh...oh no! He was calling her? What did THAT mean...Was there a problem? Was he going to ask her for something...and could she actually decide to hang up before he got on the line?

Erika sits down on her new armchair, her breathing speeding up as her stomach churns with anxiety. What could this possibly  mean?

After a few moments, Mr. Harrox got onto the phone. "Ah! Miss Stark. So good that I caught you at home. Are you alright?"

[yamikuronue]

"I-- I am, yes. Why? Is there another problem?" Her voice catches in her throat, but she forces the words out.

[CalamityJade]

"Not so far, Miss Stark. I just wanted to ask you, in a much more relaxed environment, how your day with that detective went today. Much more of a social call, you see."

[yamikuronue]

"Oh, I... I see. Thank you." She takes a deep breath, ordering her thoughts.

"It was a pleasant day, altogether. Unfortunately for him, he did not find much of interest that he was searching for, but I attempted to lighten his spirits by asking him to lunch. Unfortunately, there was another incident at lunch, which has me quite shaken."

[CalamityJade]

"I can imagine. I would like you to understand that we are not in the business of causing incidents that scare you or those around you. I explained that to the staff and, thankfully, they have been very responsive in their reports. It would see that there was a large dip in your expressed input at some point earlier in the day somewhere before lunch. I have them investigating in case this problem could affect our other clients." He sounded almost concerned. Granted, it was likely that she didn't trust anything Mr. Harrox had said to her from the beginning of the call and no reason to trust what he said before then, but...the tone was there.

"As far as his actions. What is it that he is looking for? I took you for someone of more refined tastes, Miss Stark and he seems anything but."
