"You're going to cut her," Rob concludes, his tone serious and a little guarded. "I'm not sure I'm keen on that idea."

She frowns, then squints a bit, looking at Erika's eyes and mouth to see if there's a gap there she can exploit.

The thing seems pretty uniformly...huh. There IS something just at the edge of her skin. Something like a thin, white line that goes down to one of the off-looking balls of light. It was almost invisible if you didn't look for it.

Hey! What about that line? she asks, shading her eyes with her hand to focus on it better.

[CalamityJade]

~What line? All I'm seeing is that film and the lights that are all weird.~

[yamikuronue]

You don't see... She reaches out to hook a finger around where the line is, as though to grab it.

When she did, Erika would feel her vision start to go hazy...outside of her, they might notice her eyes starting to glaze over. ~Gah! What did you do?~

I touched the line. Why? Is that bad? T pulls her hand back a few inches.

Erika felt everything fall back into place and she was herself.

~Whatever you did...something about that thing is wrong. Don't touch it!~ Wow...she felt some sort of intense reaction to hate and...almost fear? Maybe this is what Crys always felt from her.

T narrows her eyes. Could that line be what's wrong? If I cut it, would it cure her?

Rob can't tell what's going on; all he sees is T reach towards Erika, and for a moment, Erika's eyes glaze over like they did in the café.

"What did you do?" he asks T, a little uncharacteristically gruffly.

"I'm trying to suss out what's wrong with her, shush." she says, gruffing right back.

~I...don't truly know, but there is something wrong with it and I think the light got worse when you touched it.~

[yamikuronue]

Worse? So how do I make it get better then?

[CalamityJade]

~I don't know...I don't think I ever remembered something like this.~ There's a pause. ~I...maybe if you put me close to it?~ There was the briefest hints of hesitation...something about this made it nervous, but not so much as to decide not to do it."
