Sam instinctively fades into the background as the man enters his field of vision. Sam does not like dealing with the welcomed more than he has to, too many of them are overly self important, and it's often better to let them just ignore you as background. He waits for Erika to react to the man's presence.

Erika nods, and begins walking alongside the man. "Oh, ah, this is Lance Roidmet, one of my bosses. Ah, I'm afraid I didn't catch your name?" she asks of the messenger.

[accalia]

"Sam,  Sam Lock, Private Eye and General Errands. Reasonable rates, results guaranteed. Would you like my card?" Sam replies in a crisply professional manner.

[yamikuronue]

"Nah," says Lance, looking the man over before disregarding him and moving to the lift. Erika follows in his wake, eyes on her shoes.

Sam shrugs and follows them He found Erika, and he's got a mystery on his hands still, keep following the lead.... also hopefully his shadow will reappear when he brings Erika to her.

The trio head down the lift and out to the street. All three turn left, toward the mouth of the alley where Ash is waiting.

Lance and Ash's eyes meet, and for a moment, everything seems to slow. The girl's eyes widen, and she pales. The man frowns slightly, as if puzzled. Then the girl is off like a shot down the alley, toward the dead end, and the man keeps walking, shaking his head slightly as if to say "that was weird".

Sam too is puzzled... what the bleep was that all about, but he manages to control himself and not say anything aloud. he simply pauses at the mouth of the alley hoping that Erika will pause as well allowing them to shake their pompous shadow.

Erika pauses, watching the  man continue down the street without them. "...So..."

[accalia]

Sam shrugs. "this was where we were to meet.... Maybe she'll be back in a bit?"

[yamikuronue]

Erika turns to peer down the shadowed alley. "Maybe she meant us to follow?" she asks, taking a few steps down the side street.

[accalia]

Sam shrugs, it's worth a shot  and he's not got a better idea. "After you then."

[yamikuronue]

Erika makes her way into the alleyway, rapidly spotting T; the alley isn't very long, and the girl is huddled half-hidden behind a trash can, against a side door. She's got her head between her knees, breathing rapidly, shivering despite the warmth of the day.

Sam doesn't say anything, but he does shrug out of his coat and drape it around the girl's shoulders. He's not good at giving comfort, but he knows when it needs to be given.

~Who..what's going on?!~ There's a feeling of worry and general concern, as Crys wasn't sure WHAT was going on with T and why she suddenly ran like that.

She about jumps out of her skin as Sam's touch interrupts the cycle of terror and grief she's spiraled her way into. She rubs at her eyes, trying to get rid of the streams of tears rapidly so he won't think she's weak, easy to take advantage of.

Erika comes to a stop a little behind sam, putting her hand to her mouth. "Are you... did he hurt you?" she asks, realizing how stupid the first question was going to be.
