The Gig [Finished]

"My mouth gets me out of most of the trouble it gets me into." Tony explains. "What it can't get me out of my feet haven't failed to yet."

[yamikuronue]

"Then I'll be sure to get you good shoes for Christmas," he teases.

The sandwiches are wrapped up, and with them, a business card with an address; there's a car key taped to the back of it. "Have a nice trip!"

Tony nods, and drives back to the station to pick up Vic. Huh..... picking up his car's going to be tricky... well one thing at a time, he can con Dick into driving him out there later, and taking the buss for a day or so for work won't be bad.... or he could borrow a car from impound... one of the ones about to go up for auction.

Tony brakes hard to avoid running a red light. Focus Tony! Focus! You don't want to think about Vic right now but you have to! so shape up!

Another minute and Tony pulls into the carpark at the station and gets out of the car. Vic's probably waiting in his office...

He is not, but Kate's able to point Tony in the direction he went: the bathroom. "Poor kid seems to be coming down with something," she tells him.

[accalia]

Tony nods a thanks to Kate and enters the bathroom. "Vic? You doing okay?"

[yamikuronue]

Vic barrells out of a stall, his face pale, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. "You're alive!"

[accalia]

"Yeah, it was close there for a while, but once i asked them to pull the trigger they decided they didn't want to waste the bullets." Tony jokes "But it worked out. You up for a job?"

[yamikuronue]

Vic nods, looking grim. "Yeah. Okay. What's the job?"

[accalia]

"Pickup a vehicle and deliver it. Smells a bit fishy myself, but at least it's not actual rotten fish like last time."   Tony replies smiling..

[yamikuronue]

Vic nods. "Uh, okay." he says, going back into the stall to get his bag.

[accalia]

Vic nods, he'll have time to talk on the drive.... hopefully Vic will listen and not simply react.

[yamikuronue]

Vic follows him to the car, climbing in after him.

[accalia]

Tony puts the car in gear and starts driving before he broaches the other problem.

"So.... I've got to prove to Giovanni at noon tomorrow that you are innocent in... that... It's kinda a condition..." Tony doesn't actually complete that statement and reveal that his life is on the line there.... He'd like to get Vic to understand and agree with his plan before dropping that guilt bomb.

[yamikuronue]

Vic hangs his head. "Yeah, okay." he says, simply. "Whatever you need."

This is all my fault he's in this mess...

[accalia]

"See, right now it's just your word against hers...' Tony starts "And there is one way to prove that you can't have said what she says you said..."

Tony falls silent, a real pained expression on his face. He really doesn't see another way out of this whole situation.
