"Sure..." Tony agrees, he's always enjoyed driving. And the trip isn't that long.

"So... got any good cop stories?"

[accalia]

"Surprisingly.... Nope. You?" Tony doesn't have good cop stories, he has fantastic cop stories, but Vic didn't ask for those..... and Vic knows that.

[yamikuronue]

He pulls a face. "I had to jump a fence once."

[accalia]

Tony raises an eyebrow "And why would you do that my son?" He asks, much in the manner of a priest at confession.

[yamikuronue]

"Cops were onto us." He shrugs.

[accalia]

"I see, Why would they be interested in one such as you?" Tony seems to be enjoying the "confessor" voice.

[yamikuronue]

"I was a shining angel," he blatantly lies, "but someone set up my friends, said we were running rum when it was obviously drinking water."

[accalia]

"Obviously. you were just transporting it in used rum barrels as they were cheaper than new barrels."

[yamikuronue]

"Exactly. It's less wasteful and more efficient." He nods, smirking.

[accalia]

"Though it does tend to cause misunderstandings"

[yamikuronue]

He spreads his arms, his palms up. "Not my fault if people are too stupid and jump to conclusions. Everyone knows cops aren't hired for their brains." He then blinks. "Er, no offense."

[accalia]

Tony takes a hand off the wheel long enough to rap on his own skull "Hmm.... did that sound hollow to you? it sounded hollow to me."

Vic laughs, an honest, good laugh. It's nice -- he sounds like a kid again, all jokes and irreverence, enjoying the moment.

Satisfied with that reaction Tony continues to drive, it's only a few minutes more before they hit the town line and are on familiar territory once more.
