The Gig [Finished]

"Great." says Vic. "So that's the plan then? We park and go for the heater?"

[accalia]

Tony nods "Indeed, we wait till late night and go in via the neighbors. Less risk. should be able to get in and out without them even knowing."

[yamikuronue]

Oh golly gee, another several hours spent with Tony. This was going to be great. Vic looks out the window in silence.

[accalia]

At leas t the hours pass fast, it doesn't take long for Vic to get a container of black powder and a length of twine and use the two to make an improvised indendiary bomb.

Actually the speed and surity of construction are a bit disturbing, has Tony done this before?

Regardless when midnight rolls around Tony's parked on the street behind the target house.

"Put it under the tank, light the fuse, you'll have about thirty seconds to get out of there before hell breaks loose." Tony says, handing the very dangerous bomb and a book of matches to Vic. "I'll be ready to drive when you're done."

Vic takes the supplies with a nod, heading out into the night. He works quickly, setting up the bomb under the tank and adjusting it so the twine is leading away from it. Just as he strikes a match, however, a hand parts a curtain in one of the upper rooms, a dark shape clearly visible peering up at the stars. Oh no...

There's a clatter of noise from the tree out front, something just went through it! If Vic looked back on the fence he might just be able to make out Tony winding up for another throw.

Jesus! thinks Vic, turning to glare at Tony. What is his malfunction?!

[accalia]

Tony chucks another rock.... this time it smashes the window of the car in th driveway.... THAT should get attention and give Vic time to light that fuse and get away.....

Vic lights the fuse and books it toward the car as the person in the upstairs window jerks back, probably heading down to investigate.

It's a bit of a scramble so Vic reaches the car and just manages to slide in next to Tony when the fuse reaches the improvised device.

BANG! ... pause...  FWOOOOOOSH!

Tony nods at the flames as he puts the car into gear and drives off.

"That should do the job. even if the building survives, and there's a fair chance of that, there's going to be enough structural damage that it'll be condemned. So they'll have to spend the money to knock what's left down, and build fresh. A lot more expensive that"

"Good." says Vic, with a nod. I guess he can pull off a job... well, he must, or the boss wouldn't trust him. Still.

[accalia]

"So, Anything else to be doing or should I drop you off somewhere?" Tony's not looking for an excuse to get rid of Vic here, he just doesn't now what else to do with Vic..... so he asked.

[yamikuronue]

"You can drop me at the place on 15th street," he says, settling into his seat. "What was all the rock-throwing about?"

[accalia]

"You needed a distraction and i wanted to make sure no one was close enough to get caught in the initial blast. Breaking a window served two purposes." Tony replies matter of factly, as he turns towards the part of town where Vic lives.

"A distraction? For what? Nobody was around." Vic scowls.
