Go Down

NPCs

Father Lelldorin holds up a finger this time, asking for another moment to finish. Once he's done, he moves towards them. He does limp a little, but with the help of his cane, it's not hindering him much at all. "I'm afraid there isn't really anywhere private at the moment," he replies to Carver. "Everywhere is being used for refugees."
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Carver Amell

"Alright, well," he says, hesitantly. "I'm Carver Hawke, and this is Isabela, Zevran, and He--"

Helene Dakesh

Helene gives a bow over their sketchbook. "This one remembers Bright Lelldorin. This one trusts they are remembered as well."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

NPCs

"Quite so, Seeker," Lelldorin says with a smile. "I am pleased to consider both you and Dakesh as comrades," he replies formally. "It is good to see that you have weathered this crisis so far. Alydra's chosen are a previous gift, Aldis would be a poorer place without you."
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Helene Dakesh

To Lelldorin's surprise, Helene looks down at their toes. A sign of obvious distress like that, a sign that wouldn't be out of place in any other Seeker, is as clear as bursting into tears to those who know them. "This one hopes so."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

NPCs

"This one is sure," Lelldorin says firmly. "This one would guess that the honored Seeker was caught in the middle of Preacher's Way during... the crisis?" he asks gently.
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Helene Dakesh

Helene shakes their head. "This one prophesied the crisis. This one tried their best to deliver the information into the right hands, I did, but this one-- this one did not succeed."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Carver Amell

"Oh, hey," says Carver gently, reaching to place a hand on Helene's shoulder. "I'm sure you did your best. These things happen." I didn't realize they felt guilty about the whole thing... stupid, oblivious Carver strikes again.

Tethras Clan

~I didn't say anything either,~ Varric says gruffly. I noticed but... don't know them well enough, didn't have a good plan on what to do/say so I went with nothing instead.

"You delivered your message- understanding was for us, and we failed," Zevran says quietly, hand moving to take Isabela's out of newly forming habit.
<e> Honesty. Openness. Trust. <dw>Stabbed in the gut! With a sword!

Helene Dakesh

"This one's purpose for existing is to make you understand."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Isabela

Isabela takes Zevran's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"Our mistakes make us who we are"

NPCs

"The honored Seeker's purpose is to honor and uphold the tenants they have to sworn themselves too," Lelldorin chides her. "You are not responsible for the actions or inactions of others."
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Helene Dakesh

"This one is an Oracle. Of what use is this body, these hands, this mind, if not to do the will of Alydra, if not to prevent the calamities They have chosen to send warning through this one? Alydra could have sent these visions to Hawke herself, but They choose to send them through this insignificant one."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

NPCs

"Actually, That Which We Label As Alydra cannot send such thing to anyone. There is reason for the burden, the curse, you suffer, honored Seeker. It is the price that must be paid to allow for such direct interference by the divine," Lelldorin reminds them.
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Helene Dakesh

"Repeated interference, yes. There are always tales of heroes sent visions through prayer, through fasting, through dreams. One, perhaps two, in a lifetime. This one is honored to be the vessel, the hands and feet of Alydra, but this one is not Alydra's sole means of working change in the hearts of we mortals."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."
