[Tethras Clan]

"Don't we have the right to... say how we want that?" Zevran says, changing tactics.

[Helene Dakesh]

"This one did not -- the failure was not in this one's duty toward you. It is in this one's duty to Alydra. It is for Alydra to determine when it is made right, and Alydra continues to send this one visions of the storm." 

[Tethras Clan]

Hrrrm. "Maybe so... but did She say you have to go poke the lich yourself? I thought your role was to supply information to others?"

[Helene Dakesh]

"I did not receive instruction to stop." They shrug a shoulder. "Only a reminder how urgent the need is." 

[Tethras Clan]

"Well, if you didn't get a 'go forth and fight' then you can't claim you have to do so because of divine will," Zevran points out with a smirk. "Now we're back to 'feed intel to adventurers' and such."

[Helene Dakesh]

"Alydra knows her servant, knows what this one will do. She is a precise mistress. She would have told me last night if my course needed correcting." 

[Tethras Clan]

"Ooooorr maybe She knew I would do this and was expecting me to handle it instead of bothering Herself about it," Zevran says.

[Helene Dakesh]

"This one can ask." 

[Tethras Clan]

"...I assume you mean 'ask and get a reply' not just 'ask' right?"

[Helene Dakesh]

"This one can throw the bones." Helene clarifies. "It is part of being an Oracle." 

[Tethras Clan]

"...neat?"

[Helene Dakesh]

"It will prove where I'm meant to be. If we have a minute?" They look around, suddenly keenly aware that they're having this argument in the middle of the road in Coalside. 

[Tethras Clan]

"Dog's on watch, I assume we can trust him more than walls," Zevran says with as shrug.

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene nods, kneeling to dig through their satchel before pulling out a silk bag and dumping a series of knucklebone into her hand. Each is marked with a small indicator on one side; some of them have infinity symbols, while others have little skulls etched into them. Helene whispers into their hands, rattling the bones together before asking, "Should this one continue on the course of action toward direct confrontation of the lich?" 

They open their hands, causing the bones to spill into the street, and frowns. Half the bones are facing up, each of them showing a little skull -- and not only that, the skulls are neatly aligned in a row. The other half are face-down, scattered around the cobbles. That... is the most blatant Woe I've ever seen. Helene thinks, distantly.

"That looks... rather deliberate. And skulls seem foreboding so..."
