Go Down

Helene Dakesh

By the time he has the little campstove working, Helene has approached him with a kettle to hang over it, warm and dry now that they have changed into the better clothing. "Thank you," they say softly.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Tethras Clan

Zevran offers a lopsided smile. "I am glad you are feeling better," he replies simply. "I don't suppose you have some spare blankets or towels?" he adds, shivering despite the small fire.

Helene Dakesh

"Not blankets, this one asked for you to bring some. Towels, yes." They give a small bow, retreating to go fetch the towels from the chest in the parlor.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Tethras Clan

Right. The blankets... that are downstairs, underwater. Bollocks. "That will suffice," he says, huddling a little closer to the fire. "Are you injured?"

Helene Dakesh

Helene hands over the towels: two of them, each identical. "No. Is Hero Zevvy?"
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Tethras Clan

"Hero?" he asks with bemusement, rolling his shoulders as a test. That is new... "I am a bit sore, but uninjured."
<e> Honesty. Openness. Trust. <dw>Stabbed in the gut! With a sword!

Helene Dakesh

"Hero Zevvy saved this one's life," they whisper. "That makes him a hero."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Tethras Clan

"I... suppose, but I think I like Madame Zevvy more," he replies after a moment. "I'd rather not be a hero if I can avoid it. Being a hero means someone was in danger and... I do not like to think of you in danger."
<e> Honesty. Openness. Trust. <dw>Stabbed in the gut! With a sword!

Helene Dakesh

Helene nods. "This one was formed by water. This one swore oaths beside water. This one will die by water. So it will be someday." After a brief pause, they add, "This one is glad that day is not today."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Tethras Clan

"On an unrelated topic, do you happen to know where the nearest desert is?" Zevran asks lightly.

Helene Dakesh

Helene blinks, begins to answer, then stops, smiling. "This one would rather be in Nyra with Madam Zevvy."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Tethras Clan

Zevran snickers a little, pleased that Helene is recovered enough to have picked up on his joke there. Well, mostly joke. "That... water, ah, foretelling... normally I would brush it off out of hand, but given you're the one saying it..."

Helene Dakesh

The samsaran hesitates. "This was... one of this one's first foretellings. Perhaps the first, though it is difficult to tell, as this one was not accomplished in interpretation back then. This one... believes that is the correct interpretation, but it is open to some debate. Oracles are not usually given knowledge of our own deaths, but then, oracles are not usually given visions so often as this one is."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Tethras Clan

"Would... I will not ask you to ignore a vision, or... but would you, if you can, come to me should you ever have another that includes water? If... if you are to perish, I would like you to not be alone," Zevran whispers, starting at the kettle. "No-one should have to be alone then." And perhaps it is not a limit but a warning. Perhaps I could save you.
<e> Honesty. Openness. Trust. <dw>Stabbed in the gut! With a sword!

Helene Dakesh

"Agreed." They stare down at the kettle, silent for a moment. "This one would... like Madam Zevvy to be there."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."
