Zevran offers a quick smile and a quicker glance before turning back to the kettle. "I will try to do so. But forgive me if I hope it is you at my side in a hundred years or so."

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene is still smiing when he glances over; they remain quiet for a few moments, however, before picking up with, "This one believes some volumes will be lost, but not all that remained. This one fears mold growth will require treatment, however. This one may have to remain for some days."

[Tethras Clan]

Like hells. "It is a real danger, to live in a moldy area, is it not?" he asks casually. "And I have heard that we are expecting more storms in the next few days, so there is no small chance of additional flooding."

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene nods. "Perhaps, if it is not too much of an imposition, this one will remain at Voice until the danger is fully past." After a moment, they add, in a smaller voice, "Perhaps longer."

[Tethras Clan]

"That sounds much safer," Zevran says quickly, almost atop of their last statement. He coughs. "In fact... while this place is fairly secure, the security at Voice is a touch better, I'd think. If you like, I have that recent expansion in the basement that could be easily converted in a... book storage place. With a bed."

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene hesitates. "This one could bring their books and their personal affects and their--" They shake their head, beginning again. "Could this one move in with you?"

[Tethras Clan]

Zevran snickers. "I was trying to work towards that, yes. Or, well, make it official anyway. You've basically been living with me for months now."

[Helene Dakesh]

"It isn't troublesome? This one can perhaps find a solution for the flooding, only... this one.. enjoys not living alone anymore."

[Tethras Clan]

"Not at all," Zevan assures Helene. "I like having you there. It's become... a comfort, going about work and seeing you off in a corner, sketching, observing, asking questions. Voice has been home for a long time but... you make it even more so."

[Helene Dakesh]

"This one... This one feels more at home at Voice than this one has in a long time."

[Tethras Clan]

Zevran starts to shift, then pauses. "Are you up for touching now? I'll offer a hug if you like?"

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene hesitates. "This one does not like to be restrained. It is normally tolerable for the sake of receiving comfort, but this one is.. on edge, more so than usual."

[Tethras Clan]

"I can certainly understand that," Zevran assures them. "Would it help if you hugged me? I won't put my arms around you?"

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene nods, moving to embrace them tightly. "You may pet my hair," they whisper. 

[Tethras Clan]

"A joy and a pleasure of mine," Zevran purrs, reaching up to stroker their hair with light fingers. "Hmmm. Do you ever do anything elaborate with your hair? Braids or other styles?"
