They shake their head again. "Who would trust a prophecy from a dream-taken?" they ask, softly. 

[Tethras Clan]

"I trust you," Varric replies instantly. "Even after learning all this, yes, I still trust you."

[Helene Dakesh]

"You're Clan," they recite. "That's different."

[Tethras Clan]

Good that you know that much at least. "You're also becoming known as the Lady Sage zi'Hawke, Champion of Coalside, Beloved of Astea and Devil Bane's personal oracle, her most trusted conduit to the gods. Hells, worst to worst, come to one of us first and we'll make sure your voice is heard, even if you can't speak." Worst case, I do a little mind reading (wonder if it works different?).

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene starts, turning to look at him. "...The baby party was too well attended for that," they say slowly. "This one has a connection to Alydra, but this one is not... does not serve as Hero zi'Hawke's personal anything."

[Tethras Clan]

"Okay, most trusted conduit that she can reliably get ahold of," Varric admits. "And I wasn't trying to do a spin, I was serious."

[NPCs]

"Sage zi'Hawke did credit you- and continues to do so, when approached on the subject- with your assistance during the Necropolis Crisis. And, more quietly, in regards to finding her during her disappearance a year or so ago,"  the Doctor comments. 

[Helene Dakesh]

"This one is worthy," Helene murmurs quietly, shivering as a chill runs down their spine. 

[Tethras Clan]

"Yeah, you've gotten confirmation that two deities think you're awesome," Varric agrees. "And both of them pretty powerful. Astea more so, obviously, but Nyra is pretty heavily Alydra so that's a big have as well."

[Helene Dakesh]

"This one belongs to Alydra. This one has always belonged to Alydra. This one has never had any other option. This one is Alydra's, and Dakesh was Alydra's, and Avanti was Alydra's, and Eden was Alydra's." The litany seems to sooth them, as they rock back and forth.

[Avato (Patchwork Bloke)]

"Each form of the one currently known as Helene has been sworn to Aldyra's service in some fashion," Avato agrees, eager to be able to help. He struggles a lot of the time with knowing what to say, or how to say it. Being quiet and waiting to help is much eaiser.

[Helene Dakesh]

"Eden's past was unknown," they say automatically, then turn to look at Avato. "Unless-- do you know Eden's past? Did Avanti?"

[Avato (Patchwork Bloke)]

Avato hunches down a little, eyes unfocused. "I... sometimes? I think that I... might have known something but I can't... I've tried, I just can't... it slips away whenever I..."

[Helene Dakesh]

"Avanti knew," breathes Helene, staring at Avato. "We can-- this one can-- perhaps there is a way to, to restore that knowledge."

"I would very much like to... be whole," Avato agrees in a whisper.
