Mia nods a little, head still bowed to the ground. "I understand. Is... is there anything that this one can do to help diminish the concerns of Seeker Helene?"

[Helene Dakesh]

"Th-this one lacks e-experience with e-emotion of this m-magnitude," they stammer, staring at Mia. 

[Tethras Clan]

Mia is quiet a long moment. "This one... is capable of... That is to say, with your express permission, given freely, this one can temporarily dull the emotions of those around myself. If that would help."

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene stares at them. "N-n-no. Do... do not do this thing." 

[Tethras Clan]

"As Seeker Helene wishes," Mia replies rapidly. "This one is... unfamiliar with most emotions as well. Aveline has instructed this one to breath slowly and recite dogma. It has proven... largely successful, admittedly as a temporary measure. One must... 'talk things over' to 'resolve issues.'" She doesn't move her hands from their position but that air quotes were pretty audible anyway.

[Helene Dakesh]

"Is talking beneficial? Your kind are what you are."

[Tethras Clan]

"I-" Mia's voice cracks and she swallows repeatedly. "This one... does not know what her kind is."

[Helene Dakesh]

"You... don't?"

A personal pronoun and a contraction both -- they must be extremely distressed.

[Tethras Clan]

"I was once lilin. I am not lilin. I do not... match any type of tulwath of my knowledge. I am..." Her voice cracks again. "Unique." For someone that was once part of a species that abhorred any kind of... individualism unless the being in question was of great and terrible power...

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene is silent for a long moment. Finally, they say, their voice low in volume but factual: "Tulwaths are not like Sceleratus or Pavitra. There are few races but many individuals, created each to serve their deity. It is true that one is not an Axiomite nor a Formian, nor a classic elemental, but those who serve Alydra are often hand-crafted for service: designed to be a librarian, a scholar, or whatever purpose Alydra requires. Many are ascended mortals, in fact. Therefore, in being unique, that one is actually representative of that one's kind."

[Tethras Clan]

Mia takes a deep breath. "...thank you, Seeker Helene. I... did not... I have not been able to study much of tulwath lore." She takes another deep breath. But what purpose was I created for? Hawke? "I am... I am still... changing," she admits as if deeply ashamed. "My... foundations are still unsecured. I do not like that I am growing and yet I need to... continue if I wish to become what I am meant to be. I think. I hope." She frowns, unseen by the other two. "...does my Sage's goddess accept tulwath in Her service?"

[Helene Dakesh]

"It is unusual. Most servitors of a deity match the deity's alignment perfectly. But there are always special cases. Hero zi'Hawke does not match the Songstress of Life -- she is too erratic, too uncontrollable."

[Tethras Clan]

"Here here," Varric murmurs softly.

"Yes," the very, very order minded Mia agrees neutrally. "It is.. difficult, on occasion, to fathom her intent and wishes. It is clear to this one, based on stories told by Sage zi'Hawke and Lady Estelle primarily, that Seeker Helene who was Dakesh is of a similar mind as this one in regards to the benefits of rules, guidelines and explanations. This one was considering attempting to compile and organize a primer designed to familiarize new Clan members to the social norms, expectations, dramatica persona and other such considerations. Might this one ask what Seeker Helene's thoughts on such a project are?"

[Helene Dakesh]

"This one... would be quite interested in such a project," they say slowly. "This one... is... uncertain. Perhaps. Will Hero zi'Hawke be involved?"

[Tethras Clan]

Mia coughs delicately. "Sage zi'Hawke would be a primary source, yes, of course," she says delicately, not having much expectation that such a thing would be of interest to Hawke.

"I wouldn't mind being in on that," Varric puts in with some interest.
