"Questions are your passion," Zevran says with a smile. "As always, ask."

"This one has now witnessed a drawing of similar tattoos to Madam Zevvy's. Is there any information Madam Zevvy can provide on the origin or function of such that would help us catch the creature who bears them?"

[Tethras Clan]

Zevran stills a moment. "I... I see. Who... who are they?" he asks, voice a little thick.

[Helene Dakesh]

"Unclear. They appear to be serving as a guard to the one involved with the current sceleratis plot."

[Tethras Clan]

"...a slave or..?"

[Helene Dakesh]

"Unknown." Helene sighs. "Little is known about this personage. A hobgoblin."

[Tethras Clan]

"A moment please," Zevran says, voice tight and not quiet trembling. He doesn't move away, just sits quietly, hands tightly clenched.

Helene is quiet, but their hand moves closer to him, open, so he can place his in it if he wishes, but not pushing or prying.

He takes a deep breath, shudders and looks down at them. Seeing the hand, he smiles weakly and slips his own in theirs. "Sorry. I just... If... I do not mind you asking of... that. Any of it. Just... warn me of the topic in the future? I was expecting a more... general question."

Helene nods. "This one attempted to warn Madam Zevvy in saying that the questions would be difficult. Is there more precise language?"

[Tethras Clan]

"Yes... I assumed you meant... difficult in the 'what is love' sort of way. Ah... " He pauses a moment, thinking. "Mean the topic, loosely- for instance... I would like to speak on matters pertaining to the darker parts of your past."

"Understood," Helene says with a nod. "This one apologizes. This one has been... suboptimally efficient today."

[Tethras Clan]

"You didn't know, so could hardly be expected to... perfect it," Zevran says awkwardly, giving their hand a squeeze. "Are you okay?"
