[Bethany]

"I can do both," Bethany says, clearing her throat. "Better with divine, but I can do a bunch of cold spells too. Not that I plan on drinking keif or anything," she adds quickly, unable to stop herself from glancing around self-consciously. 

[GamesMaster]

"Yeah, yeah, course." She grins. "Just like I don't do Bloodbrush, yah? They tell me Keif is one of the best highs, iffin you're that sort."

[Bethany]

That wine was pretty- no! Bethany, what're you thinking? You know better than that! "Aren't they dangerous though? And expensive?"

[GamesMaster]

"Expensive, sure. The better the high, the higher the price." She shrugs. "Dangerous, eh, depends. Iffin you know what you're doing, you can stay safe." She shoves the last of the food into her mouth, ears twitching as if listening for her next meal already.

[Bethany]

Bethany eats a few bites of rice and small chicken bits. "I have some apples if you want one," she says absently, thinking about what Brianne's explained already.

[GamesMaster]

"yah, sure," she says, with a grin. "You're alright, human girl." 

[Bethany]

Bethany offers Brianne an apple, smiling faintly. "I'm... this is just curiosity, you don't have to answer, I'll still pay up and everything. But, uh, how much... you said you get two or three silver an hour? That's... a lot. How much does your dee-dub cost?" Why do you need free healing and food hand-outs if you're making that sort of coin?

[GamesMaster]

"I can get a month's worth for two gold, maybe one if I lean on the guy," she says. "You can't get it lessn' six, not knowin' anyone. An' I don't make three silver for an hour. You're forgetting Jay. I pull in maybe five a night overall, more on a good night."

[Bethany]

"What? That's- that's ridiculous! If you're working all night, that's at least four hours, right? Probably more but still, at least four. That should be twelve silver, easy, a night. What does he even do?" 

[GamesMaster]

"He gets my clients an' protects me an' looks out for me," she says, frowning. "Girl can't get by without a pimp, not in Nyra. You'll get picked up quicklike."

[Bethany]

"Why not just band together with a few other, uh, girls?" Bethany asks, still sounding outraged. "Protect each other, share clients and such?"

[GamesMaster]

"Sure sure. And one might spend most of her time finding clients for the others, so they can spend less time between, since any time spent not on your back is coin wasted, right?" she adds, in a teasing tone. "And that one might talk to people more, so maybe her share's a little higher. And then she might make up a word for what she does, like, I don't know, pimp sounds good."

[Bethany]

"A little higher, maybe, but not two to one shares," Bethany says firmly. "Hells, maybe you take turns with it. Each person does a month or something, then swap."

[GamesMaster]

"Nobody does that," she says, simply. "Just like how you don't get half the profits when you start minding a stall for someone in the bazaar."

[Bethany]

"That just means no-one will expect it to work," Bethany mutters darkly. "I could totally pull that off. Well, if I had someone to introduce me around and such. I can heal and flash freeze people's balls off. And my brother-" Would burst into flames while his brain liquefies and heart explodes. Err, right. "Well, anyway. Sorry."
