Imprints in Stone [AU]

[Bethany]

"I... maybe. I mean, I don't have any of that but- I can track down Don. Or maybe her brother Juniper." Her face twists. "Don. Don would be better." I can't ask a brother to help find his sister so she can be turned over for execution, warranted or not. I just can't.

[Varric]

"We can track down Adonis," Varric corrects her. "No way I'm letting you go back out there alone." Beth rolls her eyes, but doesn't argue. 

[GamesMaster]

Helene nods, beginning to clean up the papers they have strewn about the office. Just as Beth and Varric are about to leave, there's a knock at the back door; standing just outside, wearing cloaks, are Juniper and an older male cat that's clearly a relative ,judging by the similar fur patterns. 

[Bethany]

Oh. Of course. "Juniper, come in, come in," Bethany says quickly. "Are you okay? Are either of you hurt?" Glancing over her shoulder, she waves at Merrill to come closer. "This is my sister Merrill, she's a healer too, even better than I am."

[Tethras Clan]

The elf blushes red, pleased more about the description than the praise.

[GamesMaster]

Juniper enters, but his father hangs back. "Was told this place is safe?" he says, quietly. 

[Bethany]

"By..?" Beth asks carefully, though she keeps her expression and voice friendly.

[GamesMaster]

The catfolk shifts a little. "Adonis," he says, after a moment. 

[Bethany]

"Yes. Anyone Don vouches for is welcome here," Beth says, waving him in. She pointedly ignores her dad's semi-amused, semi-exasperated look.

[GamesMaster]

"..am Basil," he says, stepping into the kitchen and lowering his hood. "Thank you."

[Bethany]

"I'm Bethany, my dad Varric and our friend Seeker Helene," Bethany says quickly. "The three of us were just about to head out to find Don, do you know where he'll be? Merrill is staying here, just in case."

[GamesMaster]

"He'll be at the Temple," says Basil warily.

[Bethany]

"Bharnorol's I assume? Thank you." Bethany turns to Helene. "Do we need to take anything?"

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene shakes their head. "This one will meet you there. This one will pick up the necessary supplies."

[GamesMaster]

Basil frowns. "You're all leaving?"
