Varric

"I tried to find the rest of it but... sorry, Beth," Varric says guiltily.

Carver Amell

Sheepish, Carver pulls his half of the clay heart out of his pocket. "No, it's-- that half is mine."

Varric

"Oh," Varric says, a touch dumbfounded. "Well. Good then."

Bethany

Bethany frets at her lower lip, brow furrowed. "I think..." She cups her hands around the broken shards, taking a few deep breaths. "I think..."  One last deep breath. "Spem renovationis... extstit?" Despite her uncertainty, there's a soft glow of pale blue light and when she opens her hands, the heart is... well, it's still fragile looking and charred, but it's whole.

Varric

Did she just... formulate a new spell? Clearly based on a healing spell (suspect that'll be a theme for her, at least for a bit), sure, but... damn. Simple repair cantrip, not bad. "Bravo."

Carver Amell

Carver's eyes widen. "That's-- wow," he breathes. Just like that. So easy. She just wants it to be fixed and it is. If only families worked that way.

Bethany

Lips trembling a little, eyes glimmering now with happiness, Bethany holds out her half towards her twin.

Carver Amell

Carver presses his to hers. They clearly fit together, having been made to; not perfectly, not anymore, because time and worry have worn the broken edge smoother, to where there's little gaps here and there. But they fit together, still, after all these years.

"La'a," he whispers.

Bethany

"La', ma'win," Bethany replies in a thick voice.

Varric

Varric quietly rises to start clearing the table, letting them have a moment. When he returns, after they collected themselves, he gives them both apologetic glances. "I... also have some... some stuff from Marian's room."

Carver Amell

Carver nods. "Alright," he says, his voice hoarse.

Bethany

Bethany has gone entirely pale, and she reaches over to take Carver's hand tightly in her own.

Carver Amell

Carver takes her hand, giving it a squeeze.

Marian Hawke

Varric unpacks the few treasures he was able to find of Marian's:

Her spellbook, where she'd scribed the few things she'd learned from him thus far. This he'd found in the woods, as she'd had it on her when she must have... fallen. There's blood staining the front of it, something Carver doesn't want to think about. Something none of them want to think about.

A stuffed ermine, white fur and glass eyes, partially burnt. That was found in the wreckage, under the partially-burnt remains of her bed.

A necklace: a white rose, carved from ivory, on a silver chain.

A carved statue of a little ratting dog, one she'd bought at market because it was just that cute, even if it was overpriced for something made of bone that sat in her palm.

And finally, something none of them realized she even had: a little copper drinking mug, one that Carver had seen at the festival last summer. They were said to be imported all the way from Orzimmar, though they weren't priced like that was true, and they had holy symbols carved into them. This one has the simple form of Alydra's, as well as a brief blessing in Dwarven runes wishing the bearer all the cunning Alydra can bestow.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

Varric clears his throat after he finishes setting the last item on the table. "Found some other jewelry but nothing worth keeping. Hacopper stuff. Anyway. I was thinking... I remember- Marian mentioned Teddy before and I know it was important so... I was thinking we could hold a... memorial service. Not entirely sure what rites Asteans go for. Or humans or elves, but..."
