GamesMaster

She shakes her head. "It's fine. I'll soak when I'm done." She shudders. "I must be behind."

Bethany

"We managed to rework things, it's fine. And I'll take a client if I can and we need it," Beth says firmly. "You can take a half hour to recover."

GamesMaster

"'m healed, 'm fine." Brianne shakes her head. "I do this every day, girlfriend. It's fine. I just usually get to charge extra for it."

Bethany

"That badly?" Bethany points out. "But fine. Work if you wish, but you're getting a backrub and an extra long soak after work. Deal?"

GamesMaster

She nods. "Yah. Thanks."

NPCs

Downstairs, Don is just coming back from taking another client up when Djon bursts into the room. "Don, grab Beth and get your ass down to Rustin's Bar, down on Fortieth. Fuckers with dogs jumped us and I'm tapped. Car and Niko are holding but Steve is already down."
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

GamesMaster

He nods, turning to sprint up the stairs and bang on the door to Elle's room, where Beth just went in with some water. "Beth! Gotta go, trouble!"

Bethany

"Uh, what? Right, but- who's still here, we have clients in the building," Beth says, caught off guard.

GamesMaster

"Carver's been jumped by dogs," he hisses. "Bri can defend people if need be."

Bethany

"Fine, just let me tell her that," Beth says. "Grab my healer's kit, I'll met you at the door!"

GamesMaster

Don tuns out to be real fast when he needs to be -- and those knives he keeps sheathed at the ends of his fingers are wicked sharp. Still, these dogs are seriously nasty, more so than regular dogs -- they're nearly twice the size, and trained for combat. It's a near thing getting Carver's mangled arm out of one of the dogs' mouth -- Don has to kill it, and it still only relaxes a hair.

Carver pulls Beth close when she's done with his arm, still grimacing in pain but at least the bone's splinted and mostly restored. "Beth," he sobs into her hair, trembling.

Bethany

Beth rocks him close, muttering under her breath again to use one of her half dozen or so uses of her weaker healing spell. "It's okay, I've got you. I was in time, I'm here. I was in time, you're okay." She trembles violently as she presses herself against him, trying so very hard to drown out the sound of Marian's scream, now mingled with Carver's pained shrieks.

Carver Amell

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he murmurs, shuddering again. "I'll get stronger, I promise. I promise."

Bethany

"It's okay, we're okay. You're alive, I have you," Bethany says, slowly calming as the adrenaline flushes from her system. "We- we should swing by Anders. I... I magicked the worst of it, but I want him to check your arm. And make sure that there's nothing internal with Steve- head wounds are tricky." No-one objects, not out-loud at least, so the group quickly heads off to the clinic.

GamesMaster

Anders is able to give each of them a clean bill of health (mostly) and a cup of strong, soothing herbal tea (which helps tremendously with the shaky feeling and the pale coloration). Don, the least hurt of the group, goes to round up Niko and get back to the brothel; he firmly orders Beth to go home, to look after her brother and make sure Steve and Djon get back to cattown okay.
