"She deserves better. I'm trying to learn -- I'm becoming a paladin of Vangal, but they're not going to teach me how to fight dirty."

Zevran's eyebrows raise up a bit. "Perhaps there is a reason for that?" he points out. "I am no priest or scholar, but it seems like He's the sort to disapprove of such tactics."

[Carver Amell]

"Then He's not good enough for Beth either." Carver says this firmly, with no hint of wavering.

[Tethras Clan]

Well now... that sounds... a bit overly devoted. Perhaps something to poke around the edges of later. "I see. Perhaps not paladin but... well, there are other paths that one can walk that focus more on the 'right thing' and less on the 'right way' I suppose. How about you help me with a few demonstrations and we see what you already know at the same time? I will be as gentle as I can, but you will get some bruises and aches," he warns Carver.

Carver nods. "Not today. I have to guard Beth today. But later, for sure." 

[Tethras Clan]

"Do you expect trouble tonight?" Zevran asks curiously. 

[Carver Amell]

"I always expect trouble."

[Tethras Clan]

How adorable! "I see," Zevran says gravely. "Anything in particular for tonight? I've heard some rumors about there being... more problematic guests expected?"

[Carver Amell]

He scowls. "If that guy comes back, I'll kill him. You don't do that to someone. I don't care if they're a whore."

[Tethras Clan]

Don't care... and yet that very claim implies you think us lesser. "I've not gotten a straight recounting of the... injury. Have you?"

[Carver Amell]

He nods. "Apparently the asshole shows up, right, and says, he doesn't pay or he reports us. He went for Bri 'cause he was looking for a cat, hinted he was going for pain. Apparently he whipped her while he, uh, while her mouth was busy, so she couldn't cry out. Then just left like nothing was wrong."

Zevran nods slowly. "Bad, I take it? Her back?"

[Carver Amell]

Carver nods. "Beth healed her, she was... it must have looked real rough before."

[Tethras Clan]

"I see. Well, watch over your sister... but don't ignore the others. Your sister has invested a lot of herself into this place and even more into the people here. Pain to them is pain to her," Zevran cautions him.

[Carver Amell]

Carver nods. "I know. I'm going to see if Don will let me be here tonight. I usually get sent out to guard the madam but..."
