Go Down

Marian Hawke

"I'm full," whispers Marian, looking at her lap, crimson with embarrassment.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Coquette Blacquin

"Elves are light eaters, I'm sure we'll be fine."

Bethany

"Uh, no? Elves need way less protein, sure, but they eat just as much as humans," Bethany says slowly. "For their body weight, of course, and people vary but it's not anywhere near as marked a difference as you're implying. Both of you are about my height, so you should be eating maybe a few spoonfuls less than than me on your day to day. But given your recent... comas, you need to eat more than normal. Like Carver-sized portions."

Coquette Blacquin

"My mother never did, I assure you. Truly, I will be alright."

Carver Amell

Carver frowns. "Hey, no, Marian used to eat like a human even if that's true."

Marian Hawke

Marian says nothing, staring at her hands.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Bethany

Bethany snorts. "Then your mother was an idiot that was starving herself. Or she was sneaking food you didn't know about," she says simply. "Marian... try and eat a bit more? Please?"

Marian Hawke

She shakes her head, a jerky shake, still staring down.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Coquette Blacquin

"Perhaps we will take some fruit back with us in case we get hungry later," suggests Cindy.

Bethany

"Or in case the window is?" Beth says, eyes narrowing. "I've taken shifts in the children's ward, thanks, that trick is long since old. Mari... Mari, can you look at me? Please?"

Marian Hawke

Marian glances up, but only for an instant.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Bethany

I guess that's all I asked for, technically. Which is the best kind of annoying. "Marian... why aren't you eating?"

Marian Hawke

"I... I can't. I'm, my, I'm... fat," she whispers, shuddering.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Bethany

Varric

Cutting her off, Varric leans in. "Hawke. You... the... things you went through did leave you a bit... excess. But starving yourself will just cause your body to hoard the fat reserves. Focus on vegetables, fish, non-starchy grains. Avoid sugar and red meat. It... not tonight, but sometime soon, it would help if you could show Beth your body shape. Just the shape, not anything anything," he adds quickly.
