The Epic Peasant

The lore spoke of a higher plane of existence, an exalted land of glory where people who attained great power would transcend mortality and advance to deal with higher concerns. So I thought I had a good idea what to expect when I Ascended.

Well, the lore was half right. Turns out even "more exalted realms" have a need for ordinary folk, though. So here I am, a peasant, in a land where even the lowliest peasant is as ridiculously powerful as myself.

This is certainly not the existence I worked so hard to achieve!  But I fought my way to the top of one realm.  If need be, I can do it again.
