Go Down

Carver Amell

"She wanted to see you," he whispers. "I know it's probably the demon and I know she probably won't want to when all this is settled but I... for a moment I could believe..."

He shakes his head, trying to swallow the lump in his throat. "We need to get moving," he says, in a rougher, firmer tone. "I don't know how many others are infected."

Bethany

Beth nods, expression set. "If... if that was real or... if she... she did did sell her soul to keep us safe, then..." She swallows, nodding again. I don't think that erases what she did before... but maybe, maybe it can make up for it. Mostly. "Right. Let's go ask Liz what she wants to do and get moving."

Carver Amell

He flinches. "Yeah. Let's see." If she can keep away from Mother, she can come too, but.. I've not been keeping her informed about Mother's condition.

Marian Hawke

They needn't have worried. Moments after they stepped aside, Liz spies a familiar feline face peeking around a corner, and slips off to see what the Pavitra is after.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Vigile

Streaking across the mainroom without catching any attention, the pavitra rounds the corner and spots her. Having caught her attention, Vigile then locates an empty room and waits in the doorway until she spots him again and follows. Glancing around, he beckons her to kneel before whispering, "Silver needs assistance. It was not dire when we parted but the horizon was dark indeed."
I, His-paws-are-silent-but-his-growl-is-fierce-in-defense-of-the-righteous, sworn to the service of the Vigilant Protector, HE-THAT-IS-VANGAL.  Or Táchosadhachtáfháslógíocharigcosainadílis for short.

Marian Hawke

"...what?" she whispers. But.. I'm retired! She hasn't so much as asked me for my mask back... but Vig wouldn't be here if it wasn't urgent. "You're certain? Alright, but I don't have my things, we'll need to pop home."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Vigile

"I'm afraid so. The Coalpit sees to have a bit of... well, a revolt."

Marian Hawke

"The.. what? Vig, I can't go there," she whispers. It's too like Danvers: small tight spaces, wide corridors, dangerous people.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Vigile

"Provided Silver has remained on plan, they should be maintaining a kill zone just outside the mine itself, in the guard complex there. The idea is to simply contain them until the city can mobilize a pacifying force."

Marian Hawke

She takes a deep breath, then another. Silver needs me. Cindy needs me. I can't let her down. I can't-- no, I won't. I could leave, I could tell Aveline and see if we can get more guards there faster, but I'd be letting her down, fooling myself, and I know it. I won't be a coward. I can't bear to see her hurt.

"Alright. Let's go. I'll just let Beth know where I'll be and pop home, and I'll meet you there. Keep her safe until I arrive."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Vigile

"I must to the hideout to get the emergency supplies. I shall met you at the east gate." With that, he darts off, neatly vanishing out of sight.

Marian Hawke

Liz takes a few more deep breaths, trying to calm her frayed nerves. As she straightens and rounds the corner once more, she spies Carver and Beth returning.

"Something's come up," she says quickly. "I have to go help Cindy."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Bethany

Beth's eye twitches a little. "What now?" She groans a little, then forces a smile. "Sorry, not upset with you, just... this week is cursed by Keindrinas or something."

Marian Hawke

"It's unrelated, thankfully, but -- I hate to send you back home by yourself, only, she's really in trouble, she needs my magic."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Bethany

Bethany hesitates, glancing at Carver. "What... what kind of trouble? Do you need- is she hurt or..?" Damit, i don't...
