"Yeah, it kind of is. Speaking of eating though..." He says, giving the tray a pointed look. Hunter grunts, licking Carver's cheek in agreement.

[Carver Amell]

Carver sighs, finally forcing himself to sit up. "I guess I should eat," he mutters.

[Tethras Clan]

"Food is a good thing," Malcolm agrees with a faint smile. "Keeps the body going, giving you something to do with your hands and mouth. Plus, your sister is a damn fine cook evidently." Giving a pleased chuff, Huner sits up with Carver, licking his cheek again in encouragement. 

[Carver Amell]

Yeah, but you have to sit up, he doesn't say. "...I really fucked things up with Jass."

[Tethras Clan]

"A little. Seemed pretty worried about you. Had a quiet chat with Beth after you, uh, went for your nap. Seemed pretty relieved afterwards. He and I have been swapping stories and playing cards most of the evening. Kid's pretty sharp," Malcolm says with approval. "He's out flying his eagle right now."

[Carver Amell]

"I... I keep thinking if I was gonna date guys anyway, why did I bother..."

[Tethras Clan]

Malcolm coughs a little. "I, uh, I know you probably don't... want too much detail or anything, but I can assure you that there are plenty of men that enjoy a dalliance with men."

[Carver Amell]

"I guess," he mumbles. 

[Tethras Clan]

"And you like women too, unless that elf lass you were with..."

[Carver Amell]

"I do," he says quickly. "And I... I want kids. A family. But..."

[Tethras Clan]

"Nothing wrong with keeping your options open, son. Just... don't make any commitments you can't keep," he says guiltily. 

[Carver Amell]

"It's just... I get along better with guys, except maybe Aveline and Cass. But they're very mannish girls. And, and I can't have kids with a guy. And, I don't look much like Beth anymore. And... I don't know. It's just."

[Tethras Clan]

"Share a secret with you son?" Malcolm leans in. "Most guys get along better with other guys."

[Carver Amell]

"Thanks," he says, but he still frowns. A moment later, he adds, "No offense, but, I'm not sure you're the best guide to, uh, relationships."

[Tethras Clan]

"...yeah. Might, uh, might want to... season any advice I can give with... other viewpoints. I'm good at... light relationships." He studies his hands carefully. "Working on it. But yeah."
