Tethras Clan

Varric perks up, always up for something academic. A survey isn't as challenging as he might prefer but still. Merrill grins, nodding eagerly as she thanks Glimmerwing for fetching her sewing kit. Beth, making some after dinner tea for everyone, calls in her own agreement. It's Jass that asks curiously, "what kind of research is it?"

Helene Dakesh

"This one has realized there is a deficit in the understanding of the habits of individuals across various races residing in the primary culture of Nyra, to study the effects of species on carnal habits. This one has prepared an extensive questionnaire, and this one intends to distribute it across the city, obtaining responses from as many disparate races and sexualities as possible."

So saying, Helene digs into their handy satchel, pulling out blank parchment as well as a tightly rolled scroll. "This one has not made copies yet, so this one will have to read out the questions and let you number the parchment. Apologies."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Jassinth

Jassinth blinks, looking confused but not offended. "So... you want to ask us about... our sex lives?" he asks, blushing a little as he tries (and fails) not to look at Carver.

Tethras Clan

Merrill beams at Helene. "That sounds really interesting!"

Bethany

In the kitchen, Bethany blinks, then glances to the side as she sees the door to the backyard closing despite there being no-one there. A glance into the living room reveals there to be a distinct lack of dwarf. Fair enough. Shaking her head a little, she leans in the doorway. "Not your typical family night activity but it suits us well enough, I think. Be just a tick for the tea to finish."

Carver Amell

Carver clears his throat. "What if, uh, we're not, you know, having any?"

Helene Dakesh

"Acceptable. Many of the questions are about theory rather than practice." Helene begins to hand out parchment and quills.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Tethras Clan

Merril takes the parchment with great eagerness, sewing set aside in light of this new activity. "Ready when you are, tuiste!"

Bethany

Beth frowns a little, then shrugs. I'll just bring in a dish to set the leaves in after it finishes seeping. Don't want to hold things up. Suiting deed to thought, she hurries to finish assembling the tea tray, then heads into the loving room. Taking a seat on the floor in front of Liz, she flashes up a smile. "I think dad suddenly recalled something urgent in the nearest not here place. Hopefully you can find another dwarf, male, middle-aged, to sample from." And that sounded dirtier than I really meant it, eww.

Helene Dakesh

Helene blinks. "This one will speak with him in private," they say, cheerfully. "This one would like his perspective given his special circumstances, but this one understands the desire not to consider the rest of the family's answers."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Marian Hawke

Liz blinks. "Wait are we... we're not reading them out loud, right? just writing them down?"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Helene Dakesh

"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Tethras Clan

"Can we?" Merrill pouts a little, evidently having been interested in hearing the others' answers.

Jassinth

"I would not mind sharing some, I suspect, but I doubt they wish to hear the answers of their siblings." The merikos drow grins a little as the awkward look on Carver's face, finding the expression a bit endearing.

Bethany

Leaning back against Liz's feet, Bethany shrugs. "I wouldn't be bothered but this sort of thing can be very private. If someone wants to share, fine, but no probing or asking for people's answers. And no peeking."
