"Very well. Is there something I can do to help with the closing?" As far as the catfolk can tell, she's entirely sincere in her offer of help.

[GamesMaster]

"No. Is there anything else I can provide?"

[Tethras Clan]

"Not that I can think of at the moment. If I can't help you close, then I'll just wait by the door until you're ready." Aveline offers a slight smile. "Your cooperation is appreciated and will be remembered. Thank you."

[GamesMaster]

He starts. "You'll-- wait for me? Truly that's not necessary, I can send the brewer immediately to the guardhouse when he or she is located."

[Tethras Clan]

"As there is a possibility, however slight, that the brewer did this intentionally, I can hardly allow them to choose whether they're willing to deliver themselves to the guard," AVeline says dryly.

[GamesMaster]

"It, it might take some time to find the brewer, and, I intend to do much of my tracking down in Cattown."

[Tethras Clan]

Aveline simply looks at him expressionlessly. 

[GamesMaster]

His shoulders slump, his ears going back. "<cat>I shall be skinned before the day is out," he mutters to himself softly. "Alright, then. Please wait while I shut the shop up."

"Again, I am only interested in crimes of lethal outcome." Aveline's catfolk is pretty good for someone that learned it later in life. Accent is passable, syntax is pretty solid. Vocab is a little restricted, but perfectly acceptable. "Would it be better if I wasn't in uniform?"

[GamesMaster]

Yes, considerably. He doesn't answer, instead tucking away the notebooks, ringing a small bell. "Attention, please. The store will now be closing for a lunch break. I apologize for the disturbance."

The customers, murmuring amongst themselves, begin to move for the door.

[Tethras Clan]

Nonverbal or not, Aveline catches his answer fairly well. After the customers leave, she presses her palm against the side of her armour and mutters something. A second later, it shimmers into the appearance of dark cotton trousers and a heavy leather jerkin. Her sword and shield are still the same however. "How badly will this come down for you..." She frowns. "I never caught your name."

[GamesMaster]

"Raul," he replies, as he locks the front door.

[Tethras Clan]

"Thank you. How much trouble are you worried you're in?"

[GamesMaster]

"I can handle it," he says cheerily. "It's only my job on the line."

[Tethras Clan]

Aveline frowns, having almost expected it but at the same time... "Why? You've done nothing less than what's right in this situation. Do you not think your employer will understand that?"
