[Carver Amell]

Carver gives a small smile. "Of course. I love spending time with you."

[Tethras Clan]

And now she's certainly not blushing. "Ah... we can't..." She clears her throat. "We haven't... d-done anything technically, but we... fraternization regs." Nor stammer. This is a very new side of Aveline for Carver...

[Carver Amell]

"I-- I wasn't assuming--" Now Carver blushes. "I just meant, we could go for a walk. If, if you want."

[Tethras Clan]

"I know! I mean- I just meant, the words. Flirting. We can't... If we... move towards... together, then you'll have to either transfer or quiet the guard." She steps back and rubs her forehead."Sorry, I... I didn't want to do this until... things are more stable. But we can't... we need to be careful, even before we... decide."

[Carver Amell]

Carver nods. "Okay. So I'll quit the guard." He shrugs. 

[Tethras Clan]

"Just... just like that? Really?" Aveline stares at him, taken aback. "I mean... we haven't even decided... on together."

[Carver Amell]

He gives a little laugh. "Don't you know, I only work with the Guard for you?"

[Tethras Clan]

"Carver," she hisses flushing furiously again.

[Carver Amell]

He shrugs. "I mean it. You know me. I'm a Bandanna at heart, why would I want to be a guard? I just... I needed a purpose in life and well... yours seemed fine." 

[Tethras Clan]

Aveline winces, then sighs fondly. "You know, any other gang and I'd have serious issue with a guard saying that." But the Bandannas were never what I would really call criminals. Lawbreakers... yes, but not really criminals. "Well, that... that's reassuring in regards to that aspect of things. I mean, if. Together."

[Carver Amell]

Carver nods. "Yeah. If." He rubs the back of his head. 

[Tethras Clan]

I... really get the impression you've mostly set your heart on yes, together. "Well. Let's hand that note off and get moving. We have just enough time to make it to the temple and have a little time to talk before I have to head out."

[Carver Amell]

"Sure. And maybe pick up some ginger nuts on the way?" he offers. 

[Tethras Clan]

Aveline hesitates a second, trying to read into his offer, then mentally shakes her head. Don't drive yourself mad over this. Just... go on as we were, until we can talk for real. "Sure. Lead on." Not like I entirely don't want to... together myself. Gods, that word is going to lose all meaning before this is over.

[Carver Amell]

Carver and Aveline have a leisurely walk to the Temple of Alydra, where they first meet up with Helene -- getting filled in on the whole lot of nothing they missed -- and then have a long sit in the garden with their ginger nuts, talking and laughing until Aveline has to go on duty. Then, Carver heads out as well, stopping by to check on Niko, then saying hi to Ari.

He heads back to Varric's, arriving just as Varric is getting the door unlocked for Helene, who is carrying grocery bags. "Oh, hello, Carver."

"Uh. Hi," says Carver, blushing a little.
