Go Down

Garret Tethras

Garrett looks down at himself, then shrugs a little. Without a shred of concern or reluctance, he steps to the side of Marian and pulls his make-shift skirt off. "What are you looking for?" he asks curiously.

Marian Hawke

"Ah -- upstairs, please. She's a healer, she wants to be sure we weren't damaged by the ritual."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Carver Amell

Carver looks away, beet red. "Yeah, that."

Bethany

"Oh my," Beth says, blushing. And not looking away. That's... impressive. The... flare on the end, almost like tiny horns, and the... bumps are... "Lucky you sis. I mean. Also you. Check-up. You have a new body and if nothing else, I need to figure out what your new baseline is."

Marian Hawke

Hawke pulls at his cloak. "Come on now," she says, in a low, playful tone. "You're making Carver jealous."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Bethany

"About the same si-" Beth cuts off, wincing. "So anyway, living room, medical stuff, lets go, march you two! And you, Carver, you were in the room when that all happened so you're getting a basic look over at least."

Carver Amell

"I'm fine," he says. My head ringing a bit is barely anything, really.

Bethany

"Don't care," Beth singsongs, tugging him along.

Garret Tethras

~I think I like your... siblings? Is that word correct?~

Marian Hawke

~Yeah,~ sends Marian, with a fond smile. ~Our siblings.~
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Marian Hawke

Marian turns out to be healthy -- beyond healthy, given her new long-lived status. If anything, too healthy. She's not only in peak condition, she's longer-lived than before... and biologically younger.

Which might explain some of why she's so distracted during the exam: she's a teenager again, complete with raging hormones. Just shy of majority, it seems, best Beth can tell. Maybe the equivalent of 15 or 16 in human years. Which makes no sense, really; if she were her chronological age, she'd be 10 or so, and Samsaran never come older than that either, not when first incarnated. Maybe it averaged her former biological age with her chronological one?

Regardless, as soon as she and Garrett are both given clean bills of health (or as clean as Garrett can be, being an outsider with no name and no patron deity) she tugs him off to explore the limits of their new bodies together. Thankfully, they pop into one of the suites, meaning Don and Beth can be in the next room in case of emergency.

(And the wards are put on lockdown, just in case of another kind of emergency).

Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Helene Dakesh

The next morning, as Varric wakes -- in his favorite suite, one with two beds near each other -- he finds someone's beat him to rising. Only just, to be fair; the breakfast sitting on the nightstand is still piping hot, and it's only scrambled eggs, burnt porridge, and toast. But it comes with a glass of orange juice, a mug of hot cocoa, and a stack of papers filled with neat, intricate writing.

Helene slides into the bed opposite once more, satisfied with the work they've accomplished this half hour. They cling to the stuffed bear they managed to find while roaming in the middle of the night, when the nightmares got too bad to make sleep seem feasible. I'm going to knight this bear, they decide, cuddling up to it. Sir Vangal the Brave Defender of Dreams.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Varric

Varric wakes slow, part of his brain marveling on how, while he can recall each time Helene rose, he didn't actually wake up all the way. His mind recognized the sounds and knew them as benign, even asleep. For him, that degree of trust... not something he expected to ever have for someone. Or to retain after this last week for that matter. Needing it, craving it, Varric follows his normal routine as best he can after awakening. He reaches for the wards, confirming they're intact and unaltered. That done, he slips out of the bed and pulls on his trousers and tunic overtop his undersuit. He compensates well for the missing arm, despite how recently it was lost, and finishes quickly. A rapid check of Bianca, out and stored again in a flash, finishes his initial routine.

That down, he turns to face Helene. "...morning. You... sleep alright? Given... the last few days, I mean."

Helene Dakesh

"No," they admit, snuggled into the warm covers. "But sleep was had."

Nir voice, nir beautiful, high-pitched, contented, slightly sleepy voice. Ne hadn't missed it -- ne never does miss the sound of nir own voice -- but nir husband might beg to differ.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Varric

No. But sleep was had. Gods. I think I have some new favorite words. "Glad... glad to hear that. Any sleep is better than none. You... ah. Eating now. Also good."
