[Marian Hawke]

Marian nods. "Yeah, fine. She wasn't hurt bad, she got healed, and then Varric checked her over."

[Bethany]

Bethany pales a little. "Is- is she okay? I mean..." She ducks her head. Hurt, betrayed, furious, confused, frustrated... none of the changes the simple fact that she loves her twin more than anyone or anything. Even herself.

[Marian Hawke]

Marian nods. "She's fine. Lightsong healed her, and she's playing with Hunter now."

[Shisou]

"Oh, good," says Shiori, relieved.

[Bethany]

Oh good, Beth echoes silently, relief and annoyance entering the mix. "Did... did she say anything... after I left?"

[Marian Hawke]

Marian hesitates, but nods. "She uh. She wanted to call you back, but she didn't. Lightsong got her to admit it was rape, though, and that rape is bad, which is, uh... I mean it's the fucking bare minimum but at least it's something?"

[Bethany]

Beth swallows convulsively, her grip on Shiori tighteningly painfully. "Yes," she croaks.

[Marian Hawke]

Marian takes a deep breath, lets it out. "Sorry," she says, hanging her head. "Dammit. I'm no good at-- I'm sorry. I know you expect more from me but I don't... I'm not good at people."

[Shisou]

Shiori, meanwhile, gently rubs Beth's back, trying to be comforting without pressuring her.

[Bethany]

"No, I- I just- I can't... I can still... feel..." She shudders. "Like- everytime I think of it, I- I can feel..."

[Marian Hawke]

"Beth..." she whispers. "You... you need to talk to someone. A healer. That's not... It's not normal, for this sort of thing. You should be able to push past it."

[Bethany]

Why? Because you read that I shou- "Mari," she breathes out, eyes wide and tears starting back up again.

[Marian Hawke]

She glances away. "I'm fine," she says quickly. "It was a while ago," she adds. "But I was able to pick myself up and get moving. I know you can too. Something... are you sure he didn't cast something on you or... just, I'd feel better if you got looked at."

[Shisou]

Shiori hesitates, not sure it's her place to say anything, but after last night... "How long was 'a while'?" she asks, shifting a bit.

"I-- I mean, you know, months ago."
