The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

Go Down

Helene Dakesh

Helene was nodding at the beginning, but shakes her head near the end, urgently.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Marian Hawke

"What was... what is the subject of your delusions?" asks Marian, quietly.

Helene looks down, hands trembling, and writes nothing.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

"Maybe we should let Seeker Helene finish her meal, write in her diary and..." Lightsong falls silent, studying Helene carefully. Why is she flinching, ever so slightly, whenever I refer to her? Wait, no, not... did she... "Seeker Helene? Did you want more tea?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

Helene Dakesh

Helene shakes her head, putting the pencil down.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Marian Hawke

"I'm sorry -- we should let you sleep. You must be exhausted. Ah, so, there's only the one bed, but I can get blankets on the floor and Varric can have mine? Um, Lightsong can have the sofa?"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

"I'm fine," both guests say in unison. They glance at each other, then Lightsong gestures at Varric. "Chair is fine. I won't be able to really relax for a while yet anyway."

Haliel Lightsong

"And I had enough sleep to function. I would normally be rising in about an hour anyway," Lightsong supplies, getting a shudder from the dwarf.
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

"I wasn't tortured, I can skip some sleep if Lightsong is staying up," says Marian instantly. "Take my bed. Or... or are you two...?"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

Varric gives Marian a hard, flat look that speaks volumes of his opinion of her intelligence for that suggestion.

Marian Hawke

Marian flinches. "Right. Nevermind, then. You can have my room, it's secluded and quiet, even if you can't rest yet. Do you want to borrow a book?"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

"Books are good," Varric allows, relaxing a bit. "Got anything on maths? Numbers?"

Marian Hawke

"Ummm, maybe? I have a bunch on nutrition and cooking, and Helene has a lot of travelogues and anthropological studies, but we get most of our books on loan so we don't keep a lot of subjects in the house."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

Varric wrinkles his nose, thinking it over. "Eh, grab a travelogue or study. Nothing dwarven or Draslina."

Marian Hawke

Marian nods, gives a small bow. "As you like."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

"You two eat, I'll help Miss Marian ready the bedroom," Lightsong says carefully, hoping her new friend gets the hint.
I am the Light of My Soul.
