Jassinth

"Dragon attack, it's dead now. Marian summoned something massive but it- it made her.. fall," Jassinth adds.

GamesMaster

"Alright, alright," he says gently. "Easy. I will examine her. Please, come this way."

His voice, as he talks her through where they're going, laying Marian on a cot, helping him examine her, is very soothing. He's clearly used to working with wild things, comforting them and gently guiding them rather than imposing his will. He's very polite, when he remembers the words; he repeats himself a lot, but always in that soothing, gentle tone.

He has some skill with healing, it seems; enough to examine a mammal shell, to determine how healthy it is. He reassures Lightsong that Marian lives, that she is breathing, but he is concerned about the dried blood crusting around her eyes and nose, the bleed Jass is able to describe. It may have come from the brain, he worries, and who knows what will happen when she wakes? In the meantime, he can look after her, ensure she is cared for and seen by a better healer than they, if they would like to stay here, have their own wounds seen to?

Haliel Lightsong

"Our wounds?" Haliel asks blankly, causing Jassinth to snort lightly.
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"Yes, yes," he says, in a soothing near-whisper. "May I touch you?" he asks, and it's a gentle ask, the most natural question in the world.

Jassinth

"I do not know if you mind having your ribs broken, but I most certainly do," the merikos drow replies, thinking of how Haliel had been slammed into that wall by the dragon. "Or the abrasions around your throat where that roper caught you."

Haliel Lightsong

Haliel flushes, the pains and aches in her body slowing making themselves known. As they do so, she also makes note of Jassinth. "Oh Bastion, I am so sorry, I just-" She swallows, eyes closing. I will make it up to him. "Yes, and thank you, Wild."
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"Of course, of course." He takes her hands, running his own gently over them, stroking her, soothing her with touch even as he does with words. "It's alright. I can remove the pain, set your body on the natural path to healing. With your permission? Your wounds are great; you must have been strong, so strong, to come so far in such a state. Such a strong, glorious creature you are."

Haliel Lightsong

Lightsong stares a moment, nonplussed by the particular mannerisms of the druid. Is he... flirting with me? Ugh, now? Gently pulling her hand back, she offers a tight smile. "I will be fine, thank you," she says politely. "See to Jass."
I am the Light of My Soul.

Jassinth

The ranger, having met Leigh before, isn't put off in the slightest by his manner and eagerly offers his hand for that lovely healing magic. "We've not eaten nor had enough water all day either," he hints broadly.

GamesMaster

"You poor things," he croons, moving to gently stroke Jass. "Let me heal you, and then you shall have supper and be tucked into bed, yes? I will look after your friend, never you worry."

The healing that flows through them smells of warm animal sweat and dusty hay, feels like a blanket and a caress -- feels like being well cared for, looked after and soothed. The fact that it washes away the constant background pain is only a bonus .

Haliel Lightsong

"There's no time for rest," Lightsong cuts in. "Varric and Helene are still trapped below. There was a cave-in."
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"A cave-in? That sounds bad, very bad," he says in his soothing tone. "We shall have to send a rescue party after them."

Haliel Lightsong

"Yes we shall," Haliel snaps, then flinches. "I- I am sorry. I am not..." Her eyes dart to Marian, laying still on the bed. "You have been nothing but helpful. Thank you. How can I help get a rescue party organized and moving?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

GamesMaster

"You need rest, beautiful one," he says softly. "I will speak to the Elders immediately. Your friends were Varric and Helene?"

Haliel Lightsong

Haliel's eyes narrow at him. "I'm not be-" The denial sticks in her throat as the memory of parchment, the finest, smoothest parchment she's ever felt, hits her suddenly. "This is not the time for that. I need to lead the search party back- Jass is too tired and that leaves only me to try and lead the return."
I am the Light of My Soul.
