Marian Hawke

Marian bows her head, hiding her face. "Please," she whispers. "I need to know what I'm in for. What I've done."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

NPCs

Minerva reaches over to take both of their hands. "Now now, the both of you. She was just trying to get some distance so she can face that truth later, Ray Lightsong. So long as she does face that truth at some point, and not too far off, mmmh?" The young girl gives Marian a pointed look. "As for your migraines... they're your typical migraine really. Bright light, loud noises, possibly certain scents, particularly strong ones. Additional head trauma... Certain foods such as dairy, cured meats, strong tea or coffee. Lack of sleep, sustained stress be it mental or physical... All of those are common triggers that may or may not apply to you specifically. Your best treatment is willow bark tea, a cool compress and a dark, quiet room. Cuddling with a loved one, pet or warmed pillow can also help."
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Marian Hawke

"I should get a pet," mumbles Marian. "Thank you. I... How long do they last?"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

"I like to cuddle," Haliel offers shyly.
I am the Light of My Soul.

NPCs

"That depends on the person but... merikos elf? Anywhere from four hours to four days for serious sufferers. You don't seem to be on that end of the scale, so probably no more than a day." Minerva shrugs.
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Marian Hawke

"But I'll recover otherwise? Fully?" she asks, to confirm.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

NPCs

Minerva hums softly. "Aside from the memory or magical retardation I mentioned earlier? Yes, you should fully recover in time."
We are many. We are legion. We are... NPCs!

Marian Hawke

Marian nods, then turns to Varric. "I want to take-- you mentioned tests, before. Any test you can find. I want to know... if..."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

"The ones I mentioned before actually got here a few days ago," Varric replies, back leaning against the window again. "Enough for you, your sibs, Lightsong and me to take. Helene, you up for grading them?"

Helene Dakesh

"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Marian Hawke

And if I do no better than Beth on them? frets the merikosi. Will they still... Would Varric still be proud of me, knowing I flamed out and lost my career early? Would Helene still want to mentor me if my potential is gone?

"Okay. As soon as this migraine is over."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

Varric grins. "Marian, these tests will take the dragon's share of two days to finish. They're serious tests."

Haliel Lightsong

Haliel stares. "Umm. What? What... tests?" she asks nervously.
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

Marian doesn't smile back. "Good."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

"What tests?" Haliel repeats, starting to feel a bit hurt that Marian hasn't responded to her since... Oh. I...
I am the Light of My Soul.
