The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

[Bethany]

Beth moves closer, wrapping an arm around Shiori supportively. It chaffs, not jumping in but she really, really doesn't want to mess this up for her.

[NPCs]

Dau stares at Shiori unblinkingly as the immortal plant listens to the rapid fire speech of mortals.

[Shisou]

Shisou takes a deep breath, then another, surprised to be given space to continue. "I-i-i w-wish to al-alter my s-s-sex. L-like C-carver. B-b-but n-not if it g-gets m-my f-friends h-hurt. It... It is n-n-not so int-t-tolerab-b-le for m-me."

[NPCs]

Dau nods once. Another moment of silence, then another nod. "Understood. Given your previous actions, your debt is already paid in large measure. Your debt would be much smaller for such an action."

[Shisou]

"It what?!" blurts Shiori, stunned.

[Bethany]

Beth opens her mouth to ask about that, curiosity burning, but forces herself to stay silent with a sideways glance at her girlfriend. Ugh. I have got to ask her about that- we never actually settled things about labels and dating rules and such. If we're going back to Nyra... that's going to be important.

[NPCs]

"Two of those whom you saved in Nyra were Wilds," Dau explains. "As such, your debt would be small. Two years of weekly offerings and prayers to Raplin would suffice. Or you could assist Carver in his own quest, guarding Feather Jassinth for a year and a day with monthly offerings."

[Shisou]

Two years of prayers?! That's all?!?"N-n-not e-exclusive w-worship b-bu-but j-just p-prayers?"

[NPCs]

"Honest conversion to Raplin or Uryll would pay the debt in full immediately," Dau replies.

[Bethany]

"Prayers and offerings," Beth murmurs softly. Not that offerings to Uryll are all that expensive but it would be more than just words and a little time.

[Shisou]

"Agreed," she says quickly. "I w-want t-to-- I w-want to be ch-changed. C-can-- d-do you have t-time t-today?"

[NPCs]

"You must clearly state which of the offered deals is to be accepted," Dau says patiently. 

[Shisou]

"W-weekly o-o-fferings."

[NPCs]

"Understood. What is your decision in regards to your female form?" Evidently 'private' conversations are not when you're inside a deity's domain...

[Shisou]

"M-m-make of m-me wh-what I w-would h-have b-been w-were I b-born f-female," she says quietly. "The a-artifact wi-will ha-handle my di-disguise. I w-w-ant to b-be m-me."
