Varric

"Could be something minor combined with poverty," Varric muses. "She was on devilweed before."

Isabela

"Devilweed doesn't do that to a person, and she was unable to account for the money we left her to keep the rooms we rented."
"Our mistakes make us who we are"

Varric

"Then something stronger," Varric says with a sigh. "Annoying but..." He shrugs. "Zevran's right about Haliel. And..." He sighs again, then shrugs a little. "Guess I'd mind too. Not really about her, exactly, but, well, thinking maybe I should look at being a bit better than I am." His eyes drift towards the tent.

Isabela

"It'll be a distraction," warns Isabela. "And she's like to go right back as soon as we turn our attention away. But.. I guess being a better person isn't the worst thing in the world."

The rooms had been paid for in advance, so she couldn't get the money back from that, but Helene had given Brianne a handful of coins to keep her fed, and that was good money she could spend on Brush. She'd sent a message to her dealer, letting him know where to meet, and currently, she paces the floor in her rooms, twitching, trying not to be ill. Just a little longer. Hold out a little longer.

Lux

Years, decades, a pavitra's lifetime later, there's a knock on the door. When Brianne rushes over to open it, instead of a human with dirty brown hair and a pockmarked nose, she sees a lithely built tiefling with a charming smile and wicked eyes beaming at her. "Briar my Rose! Seems my brother lied not when he mentioned your afternoon's doings. Dandelion wine and what I've been assured is blueberry scones and absolutely not blueberry bread that failed to rise properly?"

"Lux," says the half-cat, staring at him blankly, her hands twitching and strumming in the air. "What you doing here?"

Lux

"Wine and bread? It's not the most classy of lunches, more a snack I suppose, but breaking bread-- see what I did there?-- is a rather common activity between friends, no?"
Interest you a bit of something... wicked?

GamesMaster

"Food," she says flatly. "You brought-- you hafta get out of here, I'm expecting guests," she says, shaking her head as if to shake off flies.

Lux

"Guests or, ah, guests?" Lux asks curiously, leaning against the door. You are looking very ruffled, Briar my Rose. I thought you were cleaning up?

Lux

"Ah, dee-dubs." Hopefully. "I have a few copper myself," he muses. "Would help smooth over any flaws in the bread."
Interest you a bit of something... wicked?

GamesMaster

"Nah, nah. I got coin." She grins, then, her paws still twitching, tail floating and twitching in the air.

Lux

"Coin as in..?" He cocks his head in, towards the room. "Is this hallway talk or..?"

She steps aside to let him in, glancing behind him as if to expect the dealer to be right on his heels before she shuts the door. "I have coin. I can get Brush."
