The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

[Nox]

"But she's probably dead," Nox agrees sadly. "She was one of Jay's too, so I'd hoped you'd heard something."

[GamesMaster]

She flicks her ear. "I been away from Jay for a week'r more. Two maybe. She was on his bad side before, tho. Maybe she did summit stupid." She shrugs a shoulder again, glancing around. Who could live this near the temples? she wonders, keenly aware how close they are to Temple Street. not me. No gods looking over my shoulder, thanks.

[Nox]

A sigh slips from Nox despite himself. And how often are you on Jay's bad side, Briar? "Bad side?" he asks as mildly as he can.

[GamesMaster]

"Dunno what she did. Didn' ask. She got beat real bad, tho. Prolly stole from 'm."

[Nox]

Nox snorts. "Prick," he mutters, glancing around automatically as they walk. Stole from him, as if she wasn't the one doing near as all the work. For not the first time, Nox gives thanks that he and Lux are able to take care of themselves well enough to avoid having a pimp.

[Helene Dakesh]

As they walk, Brianne lapses into silence, thinking about her life choices -- and Crystal's. So the little Samsaran spies her before she can spy nem. 

"Brianne?" asks Helene, looking up, startled. 

[GamesMaster]

"...Seeker?" asks Brianne, fumbling through her addled memory for a name. "Didn' know you were back."

[Helene Dakesh]

"You are not well. Why did you not write?"

[Nox]

Nox coughs politely, glancing between the pair.

[GamesMaster]

"Oh, right, um, this is Nox. Nox, this is Seeker He...lena?" guesses Brianne. 

[Helene Dakesh]

"This one is Seeker Helene-who-was-Dakesh," says Helene with a bow. "This one has been looking for Brianne on behalf of Dame Haliel Lightsong. This one was given to understand money and supplies were left while this one and this one's friends were away on urgent business?"

[GamesMaster]

"Oh." Money and supplies that I sold for more cash, and burned through. Brianne reddens faintly under her dark fur. "That's long gone."

[Helene Dakesh]

"We would have been happy to send more if what was left was insufficient."

[Nox]

Nox looks at Brianne askance. "Didn't realize you'd done work for the Nebula folk," he half asks.

[GamesMaster]

"Jus' some message running for Lightsong," she corrects. "A few month back."
