[Lux]

"Then don't be a cat, be a singer," Lux says with a lazy shrug. "You think it's easy to be hired looking like this?"

[GamesMaster]

"Yah. In certain places."

[Lux]

"Same goes for cat. Some people like fur."

[GamesMaster]

"Whores." 

[Lux]

"Similar clientele I imagine, yes," Lux says with a soft laugh. "But singing is less taxing on the body."

[GamesMaster]

"Nobody wants a singing cat. Cats are trash. If we weren't good for fucking we'd be useless." A pair of tears slide down her cheeks.

[Lux]

"Hey, hey, hey," Lux croons, shifting around to pull her into a hug. "I don't think you're useless and we don't fuck."

[GamesMaster]

"My own parents didn't want me," she sniffles. "th'dumped me in th'gutter."

[Lux]

"Parents are garbage," Lux agrees, a personal note of bitterness in his voice. "Parents can be wrong."

[GamesMaster]

"I jus' wanna hear music until I die," she whimpers. "Tha'sall."

[Lux]

"Hear it longer if you stayed healthy," Lux offers, taking another long drink of wine. "Try and sing it again?"

[GamesMaster]

"Hafta pay more if I'm healthy," she counters. "Maybe this'll be the time I do it."

[Lux]

"Pay more if you're healthy?" Lux asks, puzzled.

[GamesMaster]

"Longer I live, I mean."

[Lux]

"The longer you live, the more you earn too," the tiefling says with bemusement.
