[GamesMaster]

"Ah," he says, sitting back, clearly disappointed. "I see."

[Varric]

"That is the word I used, so I am curious as to why you expected another meaning," Varric fires back, eyes narrowing.

[GamesMaster]

"I as well," he muses, sadly. "I must ask again, is this the topic you choose, Varric of clan Tethras?"

[Varric]

Varric snorts. "You know, that's the first time someone has even pretended to care about my preference in almost a week?"

[GamesMaster]

"I wonder why you would be sent to such an uncaring place?" muses the dwarf, suspecting they may have to get a little more blunt.

[Varric]

Varric stares at the old dwarf for a long moment. "Well. Got a few ideas. Themes if you will. Runs the gamit from some evil fuck getting their jollies off on it to a case of mistaken identify. Maybe just shit luck on my part and someone taking advantage of it. Or maybe you have something to share."

[GamesMaster]

"Is there nothing positive in this temple?" asks the dwarf, sadly.

[Varric]

"Sure but that doesn't mean much really. Even sceleratis have good traits if- you sent me here for Seeker Helene."

[GamesMaster]

"Ah... Helene who was Dakesh is known to this one. Has Seeker Helene spoken with you on faith?" He asks, neutrally.

[Varric]

Varric states at the tulwath. "Have you ever heard of letters?"

[GamesMaster]

He blinks. "Why do you ask?"

[Varric]

Varric's expression goes stoney. "You can't be that dense. So why not just answer? Wait. Tulwath. Older. Alydra. Evasive but specifically in the manner of never being direct. Interested in the welfare of a very notable Seeker."

[GamesMaster]

"Helene has the interest of certain parties," he admits. "And so, seeking knowledge, you have found it. What will you do with the little you have gained?"

[Varric]

Does it count as a sin to punch a Herald in the nose? Alydra isn't against violence technically... "That requires deliberation.  Is Helene aware of this interest? Or this plan of yours?"

[GamesMaster]

"What mortal ever knows the full extent of interest such as mine?"
