The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

Varric

''That would be swell,'' Varric grunts, rubbing his own arm. Renuad might be a sick fuck with too much power but his teeth are sharp, I have to admit that much. Quicker than I would have expected too. Still, the sight of the merikos goblin head down in Helene's chamber pot with that pain wand shoved in his ass gave him all the motivation he had needed to keep moving tonight. ''Broken arm, closed fracture, short rations and shock, near as I can figure. If you have a basic medical kit, I can get started but a healer would be good.''

"How did she get sent home with a broken arm?!" asks Marian, then swallows. "I-- I mean, I'll pop right down to the Temple." It's strange to see her in a lacy nightgown -- I didn't think she owned such a thing.

Helene Dakesh

Helene holds out a hand, shakes her head.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Varric

"Bit of a long story, one that Helene here should really be the one telling if she wants it told, but we're going with a low Seeker diet for the next while. Like one and a half tops." Varric flashes a smile, then looks around pointedly. "Mind letting us in?"

Haliel Lightsong

"Miss Marian?" Is that... That's coming from inside the house... "Did you sneak off to read in the middle of the night? Again? Come back to bed!"

Varric

Varric smirks a little, amused.

Marian winces, glancing to Helene. "I-- I can explain, I-- it's not-- I didn't-- hey, I foundyouahealer?" she squeaks, before racing back from the door, into the little apartment. Most of it can be seen from the door, except the bedroom, so that must be where the voice is coming from; it is to there that Marian runs, swallowing hard.

"Hey so uh please tell me you can heal right? My Master's hurt."

Helene Dakesh

Helene, now that Marian has left, slips into little apartment, looking around as if to be sure everything is as she remembers it. She's still moving a bit sluggishly; she hasn't spoken their entire escape attempt, and a few times when he's had to leave her someplace for a few minutes to scout ahead, he's come back to empty, distant eyes. But she pulls herself out of it, follows him, aids as best she can.

At least, after he told her about the 'seek no more' bit, convincing her escape was necessary.

Now, she moves to the little sofa, sitting so she can cradle her arm. She doesn't wince or cry out, she doesn't rock; she just sits, patiently waiting.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Haliel Lightsong

''I- yes? I can- I can heal with tou- what's wrong?'' Lightsong scrambles to her feet, stumbling a little as she rights with the sheet.  She finally gets it off, leaving her in a set of pale grey tights and a breastband. ''What kind of hurt?''

Varric

''...nice place?'' Varric offers after a bit, shifting uncomfortably as they wait. He's trying not to stare or even look at Helene often, at least not directly, having noticed that bothers her.

Marian Hawke

"Broken arm. She's on the couch," she adds, leading the way back out. "Master, uh, Master's Friend, this is Ray Lightsong. She can heal."

Varric

''Varric of Clan Tethras, based out of Orzammar. I'd say it's a pleasure but today has been shit honestly.''

Marian Hawke

Marian glances at Helene, but Helene doesn't speak, doesn't look up. She frowns. "Is she...?" she begins, unsure how to end the sentence. Okay? Drugged?

"Uh, anyway, my Master is Seeker Helene who was Dakesh," she concludes, since Helene didn't.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

''She's... in shock basically. Non-verbal, withdrawn and... timid,'' Varric says softly, watching carefully as Lightsong bustles past everyone to kneel in front of Helene.

Haliel Lightsong

Offering a soft, warm smile, Lightsong looks up at Helene from her spot on the floor. ''Hello Seeker Helene. May I have permission to assist you?''
