The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

[Varric]

"Maybe, maybe not. Gods only know she couldn't do the insert but she could at least make the pitch. Maybe. With some training..." Varric scowls a little, mulling it over. "Need someone to at least act as a rep or supervisor, then at last two people to go in. Got two people with any real skill at lying... Not sure if I'd want to risk using contacts you haven't seen since you were what, eight? Still... Not sure what else we have." Suppose we could just replace someone... Or- "Could pull double duty. I could play rep in one disguise, with you serving as kind of a demo, then we both go in with one-off disguises."

[Marian Hawke]

"I don't have contacts if we don't want my cover blown," she points out. "But I know the kind of people to look for: cats. Anyone can be a servant but cats are forgettable and can't sell us out." 

[Varric]

Cats? The he- oh, right. Nyra's particular bugaboo racially is catfolk. "Suppose so. Something to work out later, we should head back to Seeker and debrief."

[Marian Hawke]

"Ri-ight, about that," begins Marian, hesitantly. 

[Varric]

Varric arches an eyebrow, waiting patiently.

[Marian Hawke]

"It's just... Master's not... She maybe thinks of me as..." she gestures, hesitantly. 

[Varric]

"The noble part or the street stuff?"

[Marian Hawke]

She winces. "Both?"

[Varric]

"Why? You think she'd really care that much?"

[Marian Hawke]

"I... I don't know," she admits. "But I'm not in a hurry to find out."

[Varric]

"Wait- doesn't she already know? About the noble part at least? Given you were her apprentice and all that."

[Marian Hawke]

Marian suspiciously says nothing.

[Varric]

"No, I mean, she must have gotten your bios and such from the temple at the least."

[Marian Hawke]

Again, nothing.

[Varric]

"...you snuck in and edited your bios, didn't you." Not a question really.
